Re: Getting "Vehicle phone requires service message"

I got mine replaced on Friday, they used a 'previously enjoyed' unit which had someone else's radio stations and satellite stations still programmed. That seems unlikely if it had been through a...

Re: Any high mileage diesels out there? How many miles do you have?

I have to agree.

I love the range, off road capability, comfort and convenience. But if the diesel emissions are going to die every year then this is a liability. And Chrysler is going to get...

Re: Any high mileage diesels out there? How many miles do you have?

June 2014. 22700. Head unit just replaced. Cat on order. The dealer tells me they are doing several cats each month and some have had several.

Re: 2015 EcoDiesel DEF FACTORY SKID PLATE

Well I guess that helps protect the wiring. But it isn't going to do a lot for the injector if you drive through some thick mud, or throw up some ice or rock off the wheels. Time will tell I suppose.

Re: Getting "Vehicle phone requires service message"

I have had issues including XM dropping out, frequent loss of traffic information and the vehicle phone requires service message. First time I talked to the dealer they said "can not reproduce", but...

Re: Road speed related squealing from underneath!

So in the end it was a bolt lodged between the drive shaft and the shield. They say this bolt is not from a Jeep. The noise was just the rubbing amplified by the shield. No big deal and they didn't...

Re: Road speed related squealing from underneath!

Stoneridge Jeep in Dublin CA has it right now. I called them a few hours ago and they said it was assigned to someone but there was no progress report yet.

I had a good look at what I could see...

And here it is from outside. It sounds like a brake shield to me, but I took all four wheels off and they are all good. Still no word from the dealer.

I remembered I have a video of this. Sorry about the audio book, I was listening to Bram Stoker's Dracula at the time. The breakage occurs just after the 17 second mark. The sound becomes noticeable...

Waiting for the thing to be hauled off to Dublin Jeep. San Leandro refused it because they don't have a diesel mechanic.

Road speed related squealing from underneath!

I was driving home, at freeway speed, and there was a single *knock* sound, like I'd driven over a small rock. I looked in the mirrors and the road behind me was clean. 400 yards later I took my exit...

I'm not French so I don't give inanimate objects a gender. It's my car. That's it. I don't even call it a truck, it doesn't have a load bed. If I am talking to the deal it's my grand cherokee.

Re: Had it with the Active Braking
