Re: Bought a new vehicle over the weekend

twin turbo v6
tows 5000
7.6 inch clearance

I am not a fan of the FWD either but have to give something up somewhere. :)

Yes, it is not an offroad SUV but that is not what I wanted.

But you...

Re: Bought a new vehicle over the weekend

I had the real 4x4 in my Jeep but didn't really use it and like i said I have numerous off road toys to satisfy my craving for the dirt. The Explorer is a better road SUV (not minivan like some...

47,970

Explorer Sport, 402A, moon roof, tow package

Paid nowhere close to that, they were willing to deal about as much as when I bought my Jeep a few years ago.

Re: What are some positive things about the WK2?

nice thread revival :)

The thing I like most about mine is that I just traded it in. :)

Seriously,

The traction in all conditions is worth the cost of admission with this vehicle. It does...

I got the pano roof in the new explorer. Everything fits in my jeep now and the Explorer is 10 cubit feet bigger in the cargo area with the 3rd row down. Actual seating room is the same as the...

Re: Bought a new vehicle over the weekend

the only step down is off-road ability. The Explorer handles better than my Jeep, gets better gas mileage, is faster, interior is opinion but I like it just as much as the Jeep, the radio is better....

Re: Bought a new vehicle over the weekend

Yea but the only WK2 I have to worry about is an SRT, even a tuned wk2 isn't as fast as the stock Exploder. :)

I will be on the Explorer forums yelling at the people who bought the 4-banger...

Bought a new vehicle over the weekend

A 2013 Ford Explorer Sport

Good news is that I had a 2011 Grand Cherokee Laredo X with the Hemi (28000 miles) and the dealer gave me $29,100 as a trade. I did not expect to get that much but he...

I am in neutral before the conveyor hits my tires on the ones I go to.

Don't think it would harm anything though.

so where are the vids? go do a 0-60mph run and record it.

Hemi's are in the high 6 to low 7 range on average stock.

still doubt that claim. Has anyone ran a crd to 60 in Australia or something and recorded it? Would like to see a movie and compare times from that.

Re: 2014 performance - 0-60 ???

the Hemi is definitely faster than 7.4. The problem is that once it shifts to 2nd gear, it falls on it's face.

Re: Why do people buy 4x2 Jeeps?

Jeep should not even make 4x2. Leave the 4x2 version of this vehicle to the Dodge. It is a disgrace to have a "Jeep" that is not 4x4. :)

Re: Is the diesel really worth it????

I don't think that is a big issue. New diesel's seem to be pretty reliable and powerful. I just don't think they save any money over a gasser.

In countries other than the US, I would agree to that.

Diesel's have about a 10 year very high mileage break even in terms of money here in the US. It's just not worth it with the added price and...
