Re: '04 Overland 4.7 v8 - Overheat - hydraulic fan?

Thermostats being a mass product, the quality is not allways as desired. Makes trouble shooting even more difficult, since you would expect to narrow down on a problem when changing parts.
Good to...

Re: '04 Overland 4.7 v8 - Overheat - hydraulic fan?

If you donīt remove the bleed plug during filling, you can locally overheat the engine, due to air pockets. This can severely damage the engine. It would be interrested to see what the coolant...

Re: '04 Overland 4.7 v8 - Overheat - hydraulic fan?

If it overheats while driving, i would discard a problem with the cooling fan. To which temperature does it go max?
All the parts where changed because of the overheat problem? Do you have an...

Does it overheat while standing still and while driving?
Did it overheat before changing the thermostat?

Re: Jeep Starting Issues

First errase the memory and see if the same code comes back. If so, than i would start measuring the resistance of the injector, when iīm not wrong its somewhere around the 11-15 Ohm. You can also...

Re: Jeep Starting Issues

There are three fuses in the PDC feeding the PCM: Fuse #6, #19 and #26. I would also swap the auto shutdown relay with the TCM relay for trouble shooting.

Re: How can I repair a 1992 wrangler ecu ?

You dont have a scanner or can borrow one to check for codes? Do the fuel gauge and volt gauge indicate normally? Does the fuel pump run for some seconds, when ignition is switched to run? Did you...

Re: Cooling Fan

Welcome to the garage.
Donīt know if the Liberty uses a high pressue switch, or a pressure transducer in the AC system, but that one could be faulty. It gives a feedback signal to the PCM, which in...

How did you come to the conclusion that the PCM is the problem? Is there a fault code set?

Re: How can I repair a 1992 wrangler ecu ?

Not sure about your questions, but i would take the P/N from your ECU and look for a same one. I would presume that an ECU from a cherokee from the same year or close to it would work as well.

Re: How can I repair a 1992 wrangler ecu ?

Would it not be better to exchange it for a remanufactured one?
The electronics need specialized knowledge on how to test and replace a component.

What did the mechanic do to come to his conclusion? Was there any fault code set?

Re: front lower coil spring mounts

The rubber brake hose can be twisted or internally blocked, letting pressure go to the caliper, but not releasing completely.
