Re: Rotella T-6 in our diesel?

Well for me it will be a while before I change to 5W40 since I have a good stock of 5W30 left. I can use it for my BMW 335 so that is a good way to use it up but my engine likes the oil so not going...

Re: Can't order 2017 Ecodiesel Overland

ZF transmission is NOT new just updated. ZF makes the best transmissions in the world so

Re: Idling vs restarting an EcoDiesel

I can only offer antidotal information from the 189000 miles I put on my SuperDuty.
I never let it idle this isn't some huge Cat engine that needed to do so. Fuel consumption was 1 oz per minute or...

Re: FCA Changes Motor Oil Spec

Well Rotella is much available than the other two are at least in my area. I can usually get Rotella at Walmart for a great price.
Would be nice to know the why behind the change...

It is the same as used in the hemi and is typically noted for very smooth reliable operation. I would suggest going to the dealership and request to drive a diesel of hemi. Then if the transmission...

Re: green diesel engineering tune

No manufacturer tunes to optimal. They have to tune for a broad range of users not enthusiasts. That makes their tune conservative so that known reliability is preserved.
Also as is usually the case...

Re: Rotella T-6 in our diesel?

Well it currently does not meet spec. If they do get it then that changes the pricing game a lot since Rotella is a good price at Walmart.
As I said I ran it in my Superduty but that was a required...

Re: Rotella T-6 in our diesel?

While Rotella is a great oil and I used it in my Superduty and my back up diesel gen set it is not low ash. That fact alone will cause regeneration issues when it plugs up a component.
Your ride...

His price has gone up so you do pay around $17/ L.

You need around 6 L to do the job so 105.00 to do a drain and refill for LG8.
