Re: Anyone consider the new 2014 Toyota Highlander?

I'm sure one of the threads you found was mine. The new Highlander is a great vehicle, HUGE improvement over the old Highlander. If you have a family, and need to transport 5+ people in comfort the...

Re: 2011 Rear hatch chrome trim loose...

Seeing that this rear hatch design came out on the Jeep in 2010, and the Highlander in 2014...I'd say the Highlander is like the Jeep, not the other way around.

Re: 2011 Rear hatch chrome trim loose...

What happened in your situation, had the bolts just come loose?

Its not the chrome, its the whole assembly, including the black plastic underneath that houses the license plate lights/liftgate...

2011 Rear hatch chrome trim loose...

Hey all...happy Easter...

Something weird on my 2011...the rear chrome trim has come loose, more on the drivers side but also on the passenger side. No dents or anything in the hatch, very...

Re: Got my new 2014, didn't make it home!

I personally don't assign blame to the dealer. The dealer should not have to inspect the mechanicals of the car to make sure they were assembled properly. It never should have left the factory that...

Re: I'm open minded.

You're not comparing apples to apples here, the Overland in your situation is optioned higher than the Limited. Remember I got to $48,855 with the Limited WITHOUT the diesel.

My point was if you...

But the situation you brought up wasn't the situation we were talking about. What if I threw the V8 into the mix? Its not relevant since the OP is asking about our opinions about trim levels not...

But this is the OP's situation...you're the one talking about Diesels not him or me. I personally would never even consider the diesel. I'm not oversimplifying the situation, you're overcomplicating...

Re: I'm open minded.

The other thing to think about when looking at a loaded Limited and a basic Overland is resale. True, they can be equipped pretty much the same. But, at resale time a lot of "option packages" loose...

Re: Got my new 2014, didn't make it home!

 This should never have happened, bottom line. Other carmakers can deliver vehicles without these issues...why can't Chrysler. My sunroof drains were never connected at the factory (I've read...

IMHO the Overland is worth it over the Limited for the interior alone.

Re: Troubled Jeep owners take heart, at least our Jeeps aren't infested with spiders!

Yup, what MB said. Interestingly enough its only Mazdas built in one plant...so my guess is the spiders got in there? How do they survive this long?

This would be my concern.

While I love my Jeep, I have had a lot of little glitches and warranty repairs (switches that stop working, HVAC panel stopped working, leaking steering rack, etc etc)...

Re: Troubled Jeep owners take heart, at least our Jeeps aren't infested with spiders!

As far as my understanding goes its not the gas filler neck, its a vent line that allows pressure to release from the tank.

I don't really drive with the windows down, especially on the highway. But, it is loud with the sunroof open compared to cars with solid sunroof diffusers I agree.
