Re: Vinyl, RR Super Sliders, Tinted Tail lights, Plasti Grill

Winner! You've Trailhawk'd your Jeep, and it looks sweet.

How well will the vinyl hold up to a car wash?

Re: Are they serious with this lip kit for the 2011+? LOL

I actually don't think it looks that bad. With the right wheels, a proper drop, longer exhaust tips, and dark paint (black, preferably), I'll bet even some of the naysayers on this thread would give...

Re: Throttle body Spacer

^^^ What this man says.

I looked at adding a spacer as well, but the research didn't support the claims. I got a ported throttle body instead.

That would be me, apparently.

Glad to hear that you sorted out your problem for yourself. However, given that you're the only one of the forum (that I know of) that has swapped the...

Whoa - check out the sag in the suspension! How far did you have to drive like that?

Re: 2012 Altitude

I like it! The lamin-x tint looks nice on the tail lights - I assume the rear reflectors are also covered?

Re: Those with 35% front tint

I don't know of a tool or test for UV penetration. But you should be able to pull this information from the vendor's website.

FWIW, I've got 20% on my fronts and wish that I had the guts to do...

Re: Grand Cherokee letters vs chrome side moulding

All the letters are stuck on a plastic strip. I recommend using some painters tape as a guide.

My lettering is still sitting on my shelf since I'm debating just leaving it blank.

It's a 2011 70th anniversary WK2 - just like mine. :D

Re: 2011 wk2 overland summit mineral gray blacked out

It looks good, but it would look better with gloss black wheels instead of the current plasti-dip/matte look.

Re: shopping for 22x9 & 22x10 wheels....advice needed

The photochop helps, but its still sport vs luxury. Both look pretty good - split five for me.

Re: bright silver altitude

Be happy with the Silver Altitude - it contrasts with the black perfectly!

A black Altitude is just too dark.

Re: Altitude Wheels, Paint or Powder Coat?

That's ridiculous. Are you looking outside the automotive establishment? I found the best prices by looking up industrial powdercoaters - shops who mainly handle boat parts and playground equipment...

Re: HOW To: ADD 2012 jeep SRT8 Brembos to your 2011+ Grand Cherokee!

I will do this mod. But I need new wheels first. Did you happen to test whether stock 20's clear the calipers?

Re: PLEASE CHECK YOURS!! front bumper issue...

Mine has that problem, but I blame it on the fact that I've taken my bumper off by myself at least three times.

I'm sure it's an alignment issue. One of these days I'll take it off again and...

No way - it's still sturdy.

Re: Altitude Wheels, Paint or Powder Coat?

Powder coat them gloss black - it will last much longer than paint and have a better finish. It'll probably cost you around $200, not including unmounting and remounting the tires.

Re: shopping for 22x9 & 22x10 wheels....advice needed

This is tough.

I love a good mesh wheel, but I'm not too crazy about that choice. Fewer spokes would be better. Then again, the split-five is a bit too reminiscent of the WK1 SRT8 wheel (which...

Another Flyin'Ryan Throttle Body installed!

Re: My brothers ride

Agreed. From the picture size, I assumed they were the cheap MGP dress-up brake covers.

I am more impressed knowing that he's got some Italian stopping power on those wheels. OEM SRT8 or...

Re: 2011 grand cherokee fog light tint and HEMI emblem mod. (what do you guys think?)

I didn't think I would like the tinted fogs, but it looks decent. It helps that you have a dark vehicle - it wouldn't look as good on a lighter color.

Re: Summit on Eibach springs

Be the first to VIP your Jeep. :p I don't know of any manufacturer's putting out coils for the WK2 (no demand), but I think BC is making a set for the SRT8.

I've had Eibachs and coils on...

Re: Project Altitude - Build thread

Look up Black Ops Auto in the vendor forum. If you get the oem SRT bumpers, you'll also need the led fogs and SRT fenders. It will get pricey quick. But justforjeeps.com is your source if you want...

Re: SRT Vapor GC Lettering?

No, they're talking about the new black chrome "Jeep" emblems that are going to come on the SRT8 Vapor. I've thought of doing the same mod.

I left my plastic rivets off - the bumper stays on just fine. Plus, it's likely that I'll take the bumper off again, and I'd rather not deal with the rivets. Without a doubt, removing those cost...

Re: WK2 SRT8 lower valence on an overland?

Got any pics to show what you mean? I'm not sure how this would be done since the SRT8 bumper and the WK2 bumper don't share common hardware.

Re: Painting rear brow - Jeep Chrome or no?

Another vote for keeping "Jeep" in chrome - that looks nice and almost OEM. Mine is all black, but I've also removed most of the exterior chrome already.
