Re: 5.9 - Timing Cover Coolant Leak - Upgrades?

I was told that with a 125k miles, more than likely the Timing chain would be a bit stretched. So I figured might as well upgrade, hence this thread.

5.9 - Timing Cover Coolant Leak - Upgrades?

Hey fellas I jus picked up 5.9 with a 124k on it. The Zj is rust free and seemed to be a great buy... until I got it home. I'm finding more and more issues with it as I keep looking it over. Anyways...

Re: Another Nasty Throttle body

Wasn't it stated that the 5.7 TB shouldn't be cleaned? It had something to do with the electronic Tb. I've seen quite a few people cleaning them with no harm. Special solvent/spray? Is there a gasket...

Re: Real 5.7 Power Adders?

I didn't really have a HP goal in mind, but 50-100+ would be great on the 5.7. Once i get a few more miles on this engine I'll start to gather parts for a 6.1 stoker build/swap.

What would you...

So in order to install SRT bars you need the SRT bar, SRT bar bushing, and SRT bar bushing mount correct? What about end links? This is front and rear as well?

I am interested in this as well. Are there any benefits to this other than getting rid of the faulty egr valve? Any performance gains? Long term down-sides?

Is there only the CMR tune that works?
