Re: intermittently 1 sec growling (?) at hot summer

My understanding is the whole brake booster was replace under the recall. The service work didn't indicate whether or not it was corroded but I would suspect it was in some way and led to his vacuum...

Re: intermittently 1 sec growling (?) at hot summer

A friend of mine (BManz on here) still has his 2011 Hemi WK2 that had the howl/growl occasionally and I heard it a few times last summer during a visit. He got the brake booster recall and that was...

Re: Overland or used X5

Hmmm...while I really enjoyed the BMWs I owned, they were a maintenance hassle even within the warranty period. I'm on my second WK2 (2013) Hemi and am closing in on 90,000 miles with no problems...

Re: Short-Term Review 2011 JGC

Nice, Moose! Nice family too!
I hit 100,000+ on my 2011 so my second oldest is using it 9keeping the lifetime warranty intact just in case). The WK2 has been "perfect" for me so I bought another...

Re: HEMI owners Please

The Hemi when I first drove it didn't seem that impressive. However, the vehicle drive-by-wire adjusts to your driving style and this could account for how great my WK2 feels with the Hemi compared...

Re: "Moose Test" from consumer reports?

Perhaps they should run the test with larger tires like the 275-55R20? From what I heard and comparing that to what I see in the video, the Forteras are not too strong in the sidewall department. I...

Re: 2012 Jeep GC 3.6L notorious problem

A friend of mine was shopping Wranglers and held off his purchase due to this. There as a revised head casting designed and placed into production for late June 2012. Not all heads are affected and...

Re: What in the heck kind of noise was this? loud moan after starting car.

It's an anomaly with the AC system that I've experienced a few times on vehicles over the years and yes I did have it happen (twice) on my WK2 the past two years. An HVAC engineer explained it to me...

Re: Cooper Zeon LTZ 275/55/20 Review

Bmanz they look really good! I know I recommended you look at the AT3 but the more I look at your WK2 the more I like the look of the Zeon LTZ on it. So...are these better in a traction and...

Re: 18's or 20's?

Agreed. These are outstanding performers on LR3s and those people are some very particular people when it comes to gear. Let us know how these work out for you if/when you get them, please.

Re: 275/55 20 All Terrain Tire Thread

A different size spare will not hurt and have no wear issues in the short term (i.e. not driving like this for 5,000 miles). The wheels on every vehicle rotate at different speeds all the time when...

Re: How Low Should You Go? (PSI)

It is not an exact science and truly more like trial & error off road. It depends on the tire and how much sidewall height you have. Some tires have too soft a sidewall and if they are aired down...

Re: Accelleration in the v8 vs v6

Exactly. The Hemi performance is intentionally underrated, IMHO. I see 0-60 in 7sec flat or perhaps a tenth or two better. The Q7 with V8 is rated 7sec 0-60 and during play time with a several of...
