Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Hey Bob,

You're always full of great suggestions. Thanks for that. For the branding we prefer to keep ours a little more subdued. We want it to be there if someone is curious, but not overly...

Hey ccie-ar,

Unfortunately that is the best we can do on shipping to California at the moment. We're organising a warehouse near Long Beach, CA to reduce shipping costs for USA customers, but that...

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

No response from my email so I gave Peter Warren a call today to follow up. Sounds like it was just a mix up with the photo. They told me they're going to replace it.

Thanks for the heads up!

Hey Bob,

With all of these ideas, we're going to have to put you on our staff! LOL! :D

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Hey Bob,

We are currently testing how the guard effects aerodynamics, vehicle cooling (hard when it's cold outside) and wind noise. So far everything looks great!

Those are some great ideas....

Re: WK2 Sump Protection Plate

I can't say for sure, but I think the 3.6L might be accessible in the same spot, making the 5.7L the odd man out. Can anyone confirm?

No need to cut a hole, it's easy enough to remove the sump...

WK2 Lower Front Guard

The current Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2) is a luxury SUV that is surprisingly capable off-road, but if you're going to venture off-road, there are a few places that need additional protection.

Chief...

Re: WK2 Sump Protection Plate

Thanks for the photo. I always wondered what that hole was for! LOL! On the 5.7L the sump plug is not positioned there, so the hole just seems arbitrary.

The installation shouldn't require any grinding. I can't quite make out what part is in photo #3, but my guess is that you've got the top mounting plate backwards, which would create...

They stick out through the holes in the air dam so you can easily attach recovery gear, but they do not stick out past the furthest edge of the bumper.

Here are a few photos of the WK2 Recovery...

The included screw in tow eye is not rated for recovery, it is for towing and transporting the vehicle only. Using it for recovery would be very dangerous.

Re: No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help

A good question. Our engineer did not test the mounting points on the WK2.

From my understanding, Jeep has rated each front frame mounting point to 1.5 GVM for pull forces. Since the GVM for a WK2...
