The piece I'm talking about is plastic. I'm just going to drill the rubber pins out and replace them. I'll most likely do it when I install the rear sway bar later this week.

Is it the factory alarm? If so you have to go into the overhead evic system & turn the horn on for the alarm. I have mine set to the lights just flashing without the horn.

No,it doesn't stay on all the time. I watched it once & it usually kicks in somewhere around 210. You hear a little click noise and the fan starts. If it chilly outside I've noticed it will cool down...
