Re: 2016 Wrangler Information

This is correct. It will be a aluminum Body on frame, with a aluminum steering gear. The steering linkage will be beefed up.
There will also be some updates to the Pentastar 3.6 engine, along with a...

Re: Another backspacing question

I would use a 17" Rim, with a width of either 8.5", or 9". 4.5 Back Spacing will keep it from rubbing.

Re: What size rims and tires will fit my 2015 JK?

52520

52521

^^^These will help you to understand wheel width, Back Spacing as it applies to offset.

A 285/70R/17 tire will be a good fit.
As for the wheel, 8", 8.5", or a 9" wide wheel will...

I have the same policy through Chrysler/Jeep, with $100 deductible per visit.

I purchased mine when my Wrangler was 18 months old, for $2,665 from my Dealer.
You paid a very high price for...

Re: Overwhelemed with Potential New Wrangler purchase

The specs on that Wrangler looks good.

You don't need a lift for 33's, so don't let them charge you for it.

But on the wheels, make sure that the BS (Back Spacing is 4.5). This will be a good...

Since you live in the snow country, then I would swap the tires out for a set of Duratracks!!!!!

Re: 2015 Hard Rock - Tire Help!

Duratracks are great on and off road tires!!!!!!!

I would chalk test them for proper tire pressure.
Also check your toe in.
On a stock Wrangler, toe in and centering your steering wheel is the...

Re: Overwhelemed with Potential New Wrangler purchase

That list looks real good. Just make sure that your wheels have about a 4.5" BS (Back Spacing). This way if you want to go with 35's some day, then your tires will clear.......

Re: 3.8 L knock

It was designed to run on 87 Octane.

It sounds like it just needs a good tuneup, along with some Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner.....

Re: 2014 wrangler rubicon vs. 2014 wrangler rubicon x

If you like the apperance of the X, then spend the extra money, because you are the only one that has to be satisfied.

As for performance and capability, they are equal!!!!!!!

Just remember if you install a heavier steel front bumper, then your front springs will sag some and give you even more of a rake.

So install a 1" spacer in the front, or look at the last two...

Re: Real world advice 3.73 4.10 auto vs manual Trans in Rubicon

Since you are possibly going with 35,s some day, then get the 4.10 Ratio.
The 3.73 and 35's, is not a good match!!!

But when you upgrade to 35's, then you may still have to change to the 4.56...

The Rubicon has both front and rear electric lockers. You must shift...

Re: Help!! With Buying 08-13 JK Unlimited four door (NYC)

Re: Help!! With Buying 08-13 JK Unlimited four door (NYC)

It's only a small percentage that have the defective heads, but why take a chance. You can check the coding on the heads, the original ones that failed were AA heads, then the update which had fewer...

Re: Help!! With Buying 08-13 JK Unlimited four door (NYC)

If gas mileage is important to you than get the pentastar 3.6 engine. I would stay away from the 2012s, because some have defective cyclinder heads and water pumps. Go with a 2013 sport with 3:21...

Does the 3.6 oil filter has a anti siphon valve?

Does the Pentastar 3.6 engines oil filter have a anti siphon check valve, or does the oil drain back to the crankcase every time that you shut it off?
