Re: Winter's Coming - Let's talk snow tires

I have been using Cooper Weathermasters WSC on OEM 18'' rims for two winters now. No complaints, great tire and if your jurisdiction allows you can stud them. Would like to try the Nokians next time.

Why not more WK2's in Canada?

Perhaps because Chrysler has gone insane with WK's prices. A Summit with the Ecodiesel can be purchased for $70,734 plus taxes! I've configured a Mercedes ML350 Bluetec with all options but the...

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 Overland Gas Mileage

Don't worry, that is perfectly acceptable mileage for such a heavy vehicle in a big city. I used to get similar mileage in Boston with my 2005 WK V6. When I changed to the Hemi the mileage was...

Re: Service Bulletin 21-006-13 '09-'12 WK/'09-'10 XK 5.7L FLASH: Transmission

Had this TSB applied two weeks ago. Man, what a difference! Most of the hesitation is gone and I basically stopped using either manual shifter or tow/haul mode. Haven't yet had the chance of trying...

That sucks man! The good thing is the Jeep did its job which was to protect your body. Hope you have better luck with your new 14!

Re: last minute trip ideas

I do recommend Portsmouth as well. It's a beautiful little city plus there is no sales tax in NH which is always nice. Also a few miles north in Kittery, Maine there is big outlet mall right on Route...

Re: Body shop north of boston

I did have a similar accident with my 2005 WK when I was living in Mass. Hitch absorbed most of the impact and there were only some scratches visible on the bumper, however it did require a new...

Re: New (Aug 9, 2013) Software Update MyGIG RBZ-RHB 50.00.07

I've always updated the firmware via USB with no issues whatsoever. Sox -- why do you say CD is more secure? Should I expect any problems in the future because previous updates have been done via USB?

Re: 0-60 times JGC V6 & V8

Dude just scroll up a little bit. It totally has to do with the 8 speed box. V6 went from 8.5/9 s to 7.5 s and V8 from 7.5s to 6.5s. Your dad is gonna smoke you ;)

Re: 2014 V8 is weak?

Yes, my statement was very confrontational especially when you take into consideration that I've own hemis for the last five years. And yes, it appears the 2014 Hemi does 6.5 s (per C/D) but a lot of...

Re: 0-60 times JGC V6 & V8

No... yeah, you're wrong I'm afraid. Per C/D test, 14 V6 0-60 time is 7.5 s. Exactly the same time they tested on a 2011 V8.

Re: 2014 V8 is weak?

The Latitudes on my 2011 sucked so much in the snow. Much worse than the Forteras on my 2008 WK1. I did change to Winter tires and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I believe the new Infiniti JX crossover is the first and only Infiniti with CVT (it's also the first front wheel Infiniti). Every other Infiniti has the 7-speed transmission.

Anyway, if someone...

How can you be so sure, and what about beyond 80 mph? The tires on the Explorer Sport have higher speed rating than our Jeeps (except SRT's), and most likely its speed governor is set to a higher...

Re: 1/4 mile Jeep WK2 5.7 stock..

Re: Cost/benefit for gas and diesel.

On the other hand, with the Hemi you go to the dealer every 30,000 miles for spark plug change and they charge you north of $200.
