Correct, the fan clutch is new, maybe its faulty....

Yes the electric fan works properly.

This makes sense to me when the engine is hot....why is it doing it when its cold, not ran for over 12 hrs????

Ok little update for everyone, I put a new radiator in this past weekend the outside temps haven't gotten more than 85* going up the hill. That said it seems to be staying cool, but there's a catch....

As stupid as this question may be, if buying one of those $4.00 flush kits from say Autozone....Is there a way to even hook this up and make it work????

To reply to a few questions..

Yes the new t-stat did have a little jiggle valve.

No I have not flushed the system...

As for bleeding the system, I've done all I can can't seem to get any...

Did the Tstat already only thing I haven't done is the radiator, but still isn't the tranny cooler just covering up the problem?

:confused: Well water pump was fine but I put the new one in just in case. This proved to be a no go it's still overheating...

Thoughts anyone?????

I've contemplated this for a while ended up putting the stock 195 tstat in. I've heard mixed emotions about the 180 tstat, makes the car run a little diff, cooler obviously but consumes more gas.

Don't know the Tranny temp...but I know it has the Tow Package, it's the stock setup in the radiator, it overheats the same with or without the AC on...yesterday it was low 70's and it didn't...

Any Symptoms that he's noticed when it goes out, the belt turns the water pump thats why I'm having such a rough time with this. I guess I just can't wrap my head around how it could slip...the belt...

So I just bought a new water pump, but I'm hesitant to replace it there's really no signs that it's bad other than overheating would'nt wobble or be loose with the belf off?

:wavey:Sorry to take so long to reply on this.....The TPS sensor actually seemed to do the trick, took days for the fuel smell to go away but minus the now overheating problem, she's running top...

This makes me feel so much better, I haven't had any coolant loss and the reservior stays the same all the time no bubbles very clean and green.

So i guess I'll do the water pump next and see...

Ok tstat has been replaced and not to much of a change, its been much cooler here lately mid 70's and it's still getting hot.

:( I've read some of the symptoms i'm having could be a warped head,...

The T-stat was the first thought :banghead: Guess I'm just trying to avoid that mess.

I do want to ask though have I damadged the engine or am I ok it hasn't gone into the red (260 degrees) it...

Temps here are around 98 degrees daily on cooler days it doesn't overheat. I drive around 50miles...

Can someone shed some light on the Superchips, I was thinking of purchasing one for the Towing Tune, I pull a 21ft Renken and I have to say the 4.7 and 3.73 gears do not like it.

:banghead: Well changed the TPS and that's a no go, still surging at highway speeds and my fuel smell is back. :huh: I'm officially stumped.:giveup:

Ya i made the mistake of welding without unplugging it, I'm betting i fried it. It's now surging at highway speeds, but I think I've tackled the fuel smell one of the pressure relief valve caps was...

How about directly behind the cat right were the exhaust connects to the cat, I did some welding right there and if my memory serves me correctly there's an Oxygen sensor right there. :confused:

:banghead: So as stated in the title im getting fuel fumes in the cab and engine compartment...I think, I say this cause I cant trace the source.. on my 2000 WJ 4.7L. This started about a 2 weeks ago...
