Re: Spare Change

I live in an area with a lot of meters as well, and bought one of these little guys for about $2 from Container Store (if you don't have one locally, its a organizational type store, large chain, i'm...

Re: Free Sirius almost over, are you going to renew?

Ha! Nice. I'm about 2 months since mine expired, and my letters are offering $80/year. I may have to wait them out, but I do miss the service.

Re: Cleaning the Jeep after offroading?

I normally take mine to a do it yourself type power wash place and give it a nice once over with a power washer, then drive immediately to my go-to car wash for a normal wash.

Re: Storage Boxes

Nice. I used to drive a Tahoe for work with a Truckvalut. Very similar setup. I'm not sure I would want to give up access to the spare tire well or storage bins in the WK2, though. Nice work.

Re: DRL on 2012 Laredo's without package- is it possible?

Curious why you want this done? Not hating in any way, and I definitely see the safety benefit of this at times, but couldn't you just 'flip the switch'?

Re: Bringing Dogs along for trips

My dogs ride in the back ("trunk"), no exceptions. I've had a barrier between the trunk and passenger area in past cars, but haven't needed one in in the GC.

Re: Any info on May rebates/incentives?

Doubtful there are very many people who know, or would share that info before the 1st. Dealers typically don't even know until the first of the month.

Re: Wheel Well material in winter and mud

The worst part of the wheel well liners is how they pick up thorns, burs, and other tough plant - they are near impossible to dislodge. I normally take a power washer to the wells before taking the...

Re: Coming from Audi to Jeep

Some people mentioned differing dealer experiences, and this is spot on. I never really feel "welcome" at Jeep dealers, and I always feel well taken care of at the Audi dealer. Its too bad, but...

Re: Tax On Extended Warranty

This depends on your state of residence. In CA, warranties (and other paper products) are not taxable. Many east coast states, however, do tax them. This is up to your home state, not the warranty...

For under $100 a year I would definitely keep it. Mine runs out at the end of May, I hope they've got something similar going on.

Exactly. $300 seems quite reasonable around here for a quality film and install. I normally figure $200-300 depending in the size of the car and his many windows are factory tinted.

Yeah, I definitely understand LoS issues, i've been using satellite GPS in aviation for years. These drop outs are open sky issues, not obstructed views.
