Re: How much more "cooling" from Tow Group?

It looks like the WK1 Pentastar Tow Group included a trans cooler and an oil cooler. I found a WK2 Pentastar reference to an optional oil cooler coming off the oil filter. I think the 3.6 Pentastar...

Re: How much more "cooling" from Tow Group?

Thanks Jim. Yea, in the past the 6 had less additional cooling than the Hemi. And, I had always bought the V-8. Now, I'm looking at what I need, not what I want (what's happening to me), and the...

How much more "cooling" from Tow Group?

I live in Phoenix, and have always bought the tow group for the "heavy duty cooling". In the past, this meant a larger engine oil cooler, a trans cooler, and, sometimes, a larger capacity radiator,...

Re: Got my new 2014, didn't make it home!

What about the selling dealer? You, or Chrysler, paid for a Pre-Delivery Inspection, and the selling dealer did not catch this. If this should have been so obvious to a trained tech visually...

Re: 2014 GC Totally $#@% dead

Since your wife is going to be the primary driver, a very good alternative, imo. For me, I've pretty much narrowed down my JGC-alternative to the Outback; similar capacities and comfort, although...

Re: And so it continues...

FWIW, we now have your OPINION. The OP should drive every vehicle he's interested in to acquaint himself with each of them. Some people love Chevy's and hate Fords. Others, just the opposite. ...

Re: And so it continues...

I believe you have the missed the entire point of this thread and discussion. Would you rather have a Bentley which does not run and can not be fixed or a VW Bug which runs flawlessly? There's an...

Re: 2014 GC Imperssion at 8000 Miles Update(Long)

2014GC, please correct me if I'm wrong. It sounds like you're saying Jeep designed a very good vehicle, but Jeep is not able to build the vehicle with same quality it designed, Jeep kind of expects...

Re: My Experience with the '14 GC - (long winded)

Years, and years, ago dealer mechanics were paid by the hour. Work 40 hours, get paid for 40 hours. Then, somewhere along the line, dealer mechanics began getting paid by the "manual hour". If...

Re: Current builds 2014 Jeeps GC's help?

FWIW, if you're looking at suveys, like JD Power, please keep in mind they measure problems per 100 cars. A top ranked line will have fewer than 100 problems in 100 cars; meaning some cars will have...

Re: Fitting a 4" speaker/Comp in the Dash of WK2

voyagerx, I assume the Focal Access 100 CA1 is too big on a lot of levels. That might be perfect for you, if it fit.

Re: How is your rear plate installed?

You can always fit washers to prevent the screw tip from hitting metal. In the past I've used two, one under and one above the plate. Can't hurt.

Re: Steering misalignment

The suspensions get "tied down" during shipment to prevent the car from bobbing and weaving during transport. Many manufacturers also block the springs to keep the car stationary. These can change...

The issue isn't how our current cars/ a/c has worked in recent hot summers. The issue is how the 2014 JGC a/c will work in this summer's heat.

Re: Starting to get a little frustrated with the Jeep...my tale of woe

Re: Can you imagine if Apple says there is a short run for the iPhone?

I'm confused. When the '14 was introduced, Jeep said no CRD orders until mid-late April. You should have expected a late introduction of the CRD because that's exactly what Jeep said.

If you...
