Re: 2011 V6 - Long-term fuel economy decreasing?

It's about to hit 30,000mi. It's had regular oil & filter changes/etc. I guess I hadn't thought about a tune-up, but I could check with the dealership next time I take it in.

The app is one I...

2011 V6 - Long-term fuel economy decreasing?

See attached graph of my fill ups over the time since June 2011 for my 2011 Overland V6. When it was new it was getting much better gas mileage than now. I usually try to drive to get the best gas...

Re: I need head!

No doubt. Well, they fortunately had another head cover gasket in stock so they were able to take care of it ... (I, of course, will check over the next few days). So far it's looking good. Hope...

Re: I need head!

Dealership said it had a "faulty gasket" and fortunately they have one in stock and should have it finished by the end of today. Will post update later.

Re: I need head!

How do I find a dealer that doesn't end up doing a sloppy job with ANY repair they do!?

So, I took time and wiped out some of the oil just under the left-side cylinder heads this morning. After I...

Re: I need head!

Dealer claims it's residual oil from the repair, did an undercoat "wash" to attempt to clean things up. I'm still seeing a bunch of oil in there and will probably have to just clean it out myself....

So ...

Here's how it went.

- Dropped off my WK2 yesterday morning at the dealership
- Enterprise rental picked me up, shuttled me to their office, and I left in a Jeep Compass rental (pales in...

The replacement heads will be here Tuesday and I will be taking it in on Wednesday. They said it will only be 2 - 3 days and are giving me a non-minivan "Chrysler" rental product.

Took it to the dealer Thursday, they did a test, and cylinder #2 didn't hold the right pressure. Apparently the parts needed are on backorder. They will call in a few weeks and then supply me with...

Re: V6 gas mileage

Seems like the EVIC is a little generous on the average MPG. In almost all types of driving I've been doing, over a full tank of gas, I end up with about 21.x MPG. There was one week when I towed 6...

Re: Panoramic sunroof switches stopped functioning

Took it back to them today and they will be ordering two replacements (left and right). Even though Mopar's site shows them as N/A, I hope they will be able to get them.

Re: Panoramic sunroof switches stopped functioning

Argh! That's what I thought. If they can even get the parts in (Couldn't find them as being available yet via Mopar's site), I just hope they don't screw anything else up while they're in there.

Re: Panoramic sunroof switches stopped functioning

Got it back and the sunroof works again. However, I wondered if someone wouldn't mind snapping a shot or two of their Jeep's left A-Pillar. See my attached photos. Should it bulge like this?

They've replaced the motor and say that it's all working again. I'm waiting for the shuttle driver to come pick me up. I just hope it's in as good of condition as it was originally. :)

Droning/vibration around 58 MPH w/ V6 in highest gear

Re: Swapping rims+tires with another WK2 - will TPMS still work?

I'm guessing that the 18" wheels/tires have a lower air pressure than the 20" ones. How does that work out with the EVIC? Are the sensors specific for each size?

What is the clip inside the rear seat armrest area?

In the back seat of the WK2 when you put the center armrest down, there is an elastic strap with some sort of a clip on it. Does anyone know what it's for (see attached photo)?

Difference between factory-installed Limited 18" tires vs. Offroad Group 18" tires?
