well.. i actually like 5 speed tranny's i find that the taller first and second gears are much smoother when you start from a stop, or come to a stop.. less jerky.. my audi and prior bmw with 6 speed...

the v6 has enough power, unless you are towing heavy stuff. Very smooth engine.. for that, i prefer it over the v8... cant go wrong with either though, toss a coin unless you need the v8 for towing...

They're just reflectors not actual lights, unless you get rear fogs. Pretty common mod on bmws anyway to either body color or black them out. Looks good on the wk2 as well

mirror covers are at the shop getting painted body color. Im undecided on the grille. I like the matte black plastidipped look for now.

Im going to plastidip it in a few days. Cant find the darn cans anywhere - out of stock at home depots. I think im gonna just spray it while on the car, unless is easily removed (i doubt it).

good point. You dont need to twist the chrome piece at all.. it just pulls down. the mopar shifter required no mods. just slid on nice and snug.

Well i got my first oil change done yesterday at 1000 miles. Driven about 100 miles since. I cant repro the noise anymore. very strange. i hope it stays that way.

OK. i got the grille done today at rockville motors in MD.. Great shop, got it done for a reasonable $80..

That said, during the install some of the plastidip chipped off.. argh, i expected it...

its very easy to replace. You dont even need a trim stick. The chrome ring can just be pulled down with your hands. there is a yellow or black retainer clip that needs to be pulled out with pliers....
