Re: Need a part for my side mirror

You could google for mopar genuine parts and see if any of the online dealers plus shipping would be cheaper. There are some aftermarket stuff out there, or midnight auto supply.

Re: Surpisingly Stable Overland

Unless you restrict your road course contests to 1960's buicks, you'd get your clock cleaned. In sport mode with better tires, the thing feels a lot like a classic Jag sedan, with notable body...

Re: Live from a stuck Jeep

For 300 bucks, you could buy an entire cargo area's worth of old fashioned hemp or jute welcome mats and do just as well.

Re: 2014 Capless Fuel Filler Cap

There's a small pinhole in the top of most spray cans.

If we are looking at home grown solutions, the guys from Oz pretty much beat the topic into the ground a few months back.

If the new...

Re: Anti freeze smell

Where is the water pump on the hemi's?
How far underneath do you have to crawl?
Is there enough stain/dye in the extended coolant to show up if there is a bit of weeping?

Re: Winter Car Washes

If you have the air suspension, run it up to OR-2 setting to make it easier to get a spray wand underneath the vehicle to rinse off the road salt. Also pop the hood and rinse off the engine...

Re: Stock 2015 Altitude Tires and Snow

Re: Stock 2015 Altitude Tires and Snow

Don't NEED them, but although I grew up in Montana blizzard territory and actually "do know how to drive in snow" I also know enough about physics to know that better tires do help a bit. ...

I get the smell very intermittently on a 5.7, but in 25K miles, the coolant level has dropped less than the width of the magic marker line I put on the overflow...

Re: Check eng light: low system voltage

Yes. Presuming your battery would be the original, its about time to replace it anyway.

But, as you do, do a complete charging system check to make sure you don't have an alternator or voltage...

Re: Ethanol Blended Fuel for my V6 Question

Read just a bit further in that section of the owners manual.
It is designed to run on ethanol blends up to the max in the OM.
It isn't a "flex fuel" engine that can run on E85, but can handle...

Re: Michelin LTX M/S2 or Goodyear Wrangler All terrain adventure

I've run both the AT/2 and the MS/2 on the same '95 GC.
The AT/2 treadwear isn't as good as the MS/2, and on cold wet roads it doesn't have the traction of the MS/2. It is also notably noisier. ...
