Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat

Look at my signature, I already have a two door coupe. Not to mention that the charger is 1% faster and handles really better. Both true but irrelevant.
I think it's a better looking car. And IT IS...

Re: 2014 Gear Shift Confusion investigated by Feds

So while the shifter is not brilliant, it is not that bad.

One easy fix would be to program a feature Mercedes Benz has, if you are not moving and are pressing the engine stop button, the gear...

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat

Gents,

Unlike most of the people here I own both a grand Cherokee (overland) and a charger hellcat. One of the perks of owning a hellcat is getting the SRT track day in which you can drive all the...

Re: Anyone whos had the WK2 6 speed tranny and now drives the 8 speed, thoughts

I had a 2012 grand and loved it, never had a problem with the 6 speed auto.
Bought a Durango in 2014 and after a couple of month with the 8 speed auto and the bigger screen nav just ordered a 2015...

Re: rollable tailgate window

Gents,
First of all the M6 is a cool car, I don't have one so its an honest opinion.
Second some time the best solution to a problem is a low tech simple solution.

And it is a roof rack!
Cheap...

FCA getting ready to announce NEW 5 year plan

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

The MSRP has nothing to do with how much people are willing to pay dealers.
I got my hellcat for 70K which is MSRP as I ordered it. I waited 3 months. Other people paid as much as 25K "market...

Re: Lease vs Run into the Ground vs Replace every 1.5 years

This needs to be calculated on a case by case basis. But just as it is obvious that the cost is not linear.
You loose most of your depreciation on the day you take the new car from the lot.
Then...

Re: Chrome Mirror caps and chrome fog bezel install

You can't take the chrome pieces off the fog lights without removing the bumper.

There are 2 torx screws that need to be opened.

BUT, taking the bumper off is easy, just buy a plastic rivet...

Re: Overland vs summit

I agree, even though I opted for an overland for mild to medium off road the summit will do just as well.
And just the front parking sensors and the HK sound system makes it better : )

Re: 2015 Grand Wagoneer

I disagree with you. I also have a grand Waggy mine is 91 and it is still a stunning jeep. The commander was just a failed design.

Also look back at the jeep rescue concept, big and brilliant!

It may be just me, but I like the way your rear wheels look better then the front, so I would have done the opposite you will and just raise the front 😎

I know, not helpful..........

Re: For WK2 Overland (2014-2015) owners: what is your opinion on the factory audio so

I agree with snuke, I found the bass to be the weak spot. As long as the bass is not to loud the sound is OK, but let the bass rip and it deteriorates quality

Re: Mirror Caps

There are 5 tabs that you need to get to.
You need to pull mirror glass, and open one screw out and then you can reach the tabs.
Look at wk2jeeps.com for the procedure or search here.

Re: SRT8 Grill on Non-SRT8 GCs... first try.

I had my 2012 grill done, and it held nicely. I traded it in for a 2015 two months ago. So it held 2 years in northeast wether and off reading no problem.

Re: SRT8 Grill on Non-SRT8 GCs... first try.

I just did this for my chrome mirror caps and it holds like factory paint.

Clean...

Re: Help with what size rims and tires?

It's not just the diameter. The jeep comes stock with both 18 or 20. You also need the right width and offset.

What you are looking for is 20x9 or 20x10 with 5x127 (5x5) lug pattern and 35 offset...
