Re: Light Output Comparison

That sucks! Glad I got them when I did - they must not have known what they were shipping at the time. $144! :)

Re: Light Output Comparison

You going to replace those amber turn signal bulbs with switch-backs? I am thinking about it, but for now I put in silver/chromed bulbs.

Are these the same headlights you previously bought, or...

Re: cold air

I always wonder about CAI - all the truck shows and forums say it's the first thing they replace on new trucks. I live in S. NJ and it gets pretty cold in the winter - so is it fair to say my Jeep...

Re: aftermarket OEM spec'd HIDs for wk

I agree with you, but they still have a problem with the description of this part. I ordered the non-HID projector -they stated it's for Jeep's WITHOUT factory HID and only Halogen lamps.

Re: Bull/Brush Bar

Found it: tow hooks must be removed to install the guard.

I might have missed it in the thread, but do the tow-hooks need to be removed for this install?

After all of my research, I decided on Mobile 1, too. Ended up getting a Fram Tough Guard filter (10k miles supposedly). I'm confident in my decision.

Re: aftermarket OEM spec'd HIDs for wk

Those two lamps are the same! Not sure why they say one is for Halogen. I bought those and they are OEM HID. I even emailed AM Autoparts and they seemed confused and asked me to take pics of the...

Re: aftermarket OEM spec'd HIDs for wk

I wans't sure Scott's write up would work for me, so I chose to buy a ballast with a 9006 connector on it ($80 for 2 ballasts and 2 D1S wires shipped from Canada). Scott's post is here, which now...

Re: aftermarket OEM spec'd HIDs for wk

So this is what I found out today with the help of Matt:

-OEM ballast works only with D1S bulbs (has smaller connectors),
-Matt's ebay kit from Canada (have only seen this type once so far) has...

I bought these headlamps and they arrived yesterday. I understand now I need OEM ballasts and bulbs (D1S), but I don't get how the relay hooks up. The headlamps have OEM side marker, high beam and...

Re: 08' factory projectors in a 05'.....need some pointers

It appear that you can purchase a D1S adapter for D2S bulbs, but that's it. I can't find any information on a relay kit for D1S bulbs, which lead me to believe it's not needed (or none has ever...

Re: 08' factory projectors in a 05'.....need some pointers

Is a relay kit needed for D1S bulbs and ballasts. I just bought the head lamps in this thread and need to figure out what to buy next. I have a 9006 HID kit, but I don't believe that has the...
