Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Definitely not recommended due to the different rolling circumference. Could cause drivetrain damage, and would almost certainly interfere with traction control.

Same tyres for me. Very happy with wear and traction. Mine are getting noisier with wear actually! They seem to throw up a lot of stones too. They rub a bit on the inner lining on full lock in...

Re: Gears not holding on steep hill

That is interesting. Mine has always downshifted to maintain speed - right from new. While it s possible that my early build car did not have a fault which was introduced later, my VIN still comes up...

Here's the link to the TSB:

I think it's worth going to a reputable tyre place and talking to them about the problem, and give them this TSB with...

Re: The Towing thread

I'm picking up a Tvan camper trailer next month. HDC is relevant because, as I've discussed elsewhere, my Jeep won't how low gears in manual mode.

Re: Gears not holding on steep hill

I tried HDC, but there were large water diversion humps which required a touch of the throttle, causing the HDC to disengage, then engage violently down the almost vertical side of the hump.
Indyof,...

Thanks Indyof. I really do believe that is the solution - both your experience and the symptom as described in the TSB convince me of that. The mechanic has been unable to apply the update - while...

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Just get the bronze pack from Customtronix. No hardware, easy install. But you might still want to ask for the rollback software to get back to OEM.
Thanks,

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Re: Changing wheels

I was thinking of wood as the final product, but decided it might be likely to split as the groove would be quite deep. Worth a shot though - I have some pretty hard hardwood lying around.

Re: Changing wheels

The "head" of the jack is not all that much larger than the screw shaft, so that could work. I'll see if I can get a block of PE and have a shot at it.

Re: "Full Size Spare" Usage

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The clear plastic stuck onto the rear of the rear doors (I guess it's vinyl wrap) is also quite damaged by stones. I haven't pulled it off to check the condition of the paint though.
