Never discussed how the vehicle will be financed. First determine your buy price. Also deduct known incentives and rebates to obtain the adjusted cost. Any reputable dealer will not change...

Re: first post, seeking advice from current owners!

This is a broad statement and is not correct. Happy in life goes beyond having a nice vehicle (or two). For me, it's a preference.

I agree with your overall point that obtaining a new...

Re: first post, seeking advice from current owners!

Simply taking points that you made in various posts and in no specific order.

1) Acquisition Fee, while this is associated with some leases it's not a given that every lease will have it. This...

While leasing is not for everyone it can be a good option for many buyers. Those who opt for this type of financing should fully understand how the numbers (m.f., residual, cap cost, etc.)...

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee HA Lease?

As stated earlier in this post, I've leased my current JGC. My last one (2011 Overland) was financed. In general, I will go with the option that best fits my goal. Though my preference is to...

Yes except include the "sport trim" option for the Summit along with the Overland (latter being the HA).

Re: GC Wish List

Sort-of. I want the equipment of the Summit less the chrome but add the option of a sport suspension. While I would love to have the SRT, for my needs and how I use the JGC, the power from the 5.7...

Re: GC Wish List

While I have the max chrome package with my Summit, it certainly wouldn't be my first (or second) choice. Give me high-gloss black trim over the bright chrome look anytime. In short, give me the...

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee HA Lease?

Sound advice here. Never put cash down on a lease. There's one exception, some leasing companies support multiple security deposits to lower the m.f. The deposits would be refunded upon lease...

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee HA Lease?

OP, I leased my 2015 Summit w/ the HEMI in August. While not the HA trim, I believe the the residuals and m.f. are the same. Through Ally, my monthly payment is $590. I had no security deposit or...

Re: GC Wish List

I'll add another though I know it will not happen. Please bring back the rear flipper glass. I had it on my 2011 and it was very convenient for loading/unloading small items.

Re: Why did you choose Grand Cherokee

This is my second WK2. The first was a late model 2011 Overland with the HEMI and QDII. Aside from some rattles, it was a solid vehicle. I paid $39k for it new and sold it for $33k 2-years later. ...

Re: Considering '14-'15 JCG Overland/Summit - Reliability?

I agree with these statements. While my preference would've been to buy the SRT, the true cost is significantly higher vs. the Summit. The MSRP between each is not the "true" cost. You must take...

Re: QuadraDrive/Quadra Lift verification

Not exactly true. Whether QDII is standard or part of a package is dependent on the trim. It's only available in the Limited to Summit trims and each must have the Hemi or Eco Diesel. With the...

Re: For those with the Hemi engine, 87 or 89 octane?

I suspect this is the true answer. Unless the engine is under stress it doesn't matter whether 87 or 89 octane is used. In steady-state driving the RPM's stay under 2k.

Re: For those with the Hemi engine, 87 or 89 octane?

Re: For those with the Hemi engine, 87 or 89 octane?

Assuming the engine is built and tested using 89 (i.e. mid-grade), the HP and torque numbers will be from that octane level. When the ECU retards the timing, HP and torque numbers will decrease. ...

For those with the Hemi engine, 87 or 89 octane?

If I recall correctly, for a Hemi engine, the manual states 89 octane is preferred but 87 is acceptable. In my last JGC I used 89 exclusively. In my current and for the first fill-up I opted for...

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

First fill-up today since taking delivery last Friday. Needed 18 gallons @ 2.38 per from Shell. Used regular (87) fuel. Total bill $43. My JGC as the Hemi and QDII.

With 300 (or so) miles on...

Re: 707-hp GC coming (in case 475 hp isn't enough)

Re: 707-hp GC coming (in case 475 hp isn't enough)

The current SRT does compete with the existing X5M, Cayenne and GL63 AMG but it's behind all in overall performance. I suspect the gap will widen if used at higher altitude locations which is...

Re: 707-hp GC coming (in case 475 hp isn't enough)

At $80k, that's a bargain for the potential performance of 700 (ish) HP under the bonnet. Now it's a question of production rate and ADM. If pushed to $100k, outside of the loyalist, it might be...
