Update #2: Dealer just called and surprisingly they will cover the coolant leak (Thermostat again) even though I’m a hundred miles over warranty. They did not figure out what the compression noise...

Update: It is in the shop. I was able to reproduce the problem for the service writer. Not sure if it’s related but I noticed a small amount of anti-freeze on my garage floor. It appears I'm down...

It appears to be coming from the right side halfway down the engine block (Hemi). Right side when standing in front. Itís intermittent and never repeats right away. Sometimes I can wait 5-10 minutes...

Thanks, just might be onto something. I went out with a co-worker to investigate. It only makes the noise on the first start and then you have to wait about five minutes with the engine off for it...

Back in 05 my WK didn't come with a brake controller harness input under the dash. You had to splice into a couple wires under the drivers dash...

This was disappointing as the 05 Durango did...

Update: Just heard from the dealer. It looks like the serpentine belt tensioner needs replacing. The dealer also wants to replace the idle pulley I replaced yesterday as they say the one I got...

Redrubicon2004 - Thanks! I just can't figure it out. Everything appears to line up. The auto parts store did not have the tension pulley and they thought they could only order the whole Serpentine...

Yes they all look fine. Just after starting it jumps two groves. It appears to run fine but I'm not sure how long that will last since it is off a couple groves. I may try and replace the tension...

Thanks for the reply. Item #6 in your pic looks like it should be totally smooth but mine has a grove worn into it which I think may be he cause of the belt being pushed back two notches on the water...
