Re: General Grabber AT2 Tire Pressure

I bumped them up to 40psi. The sidewalls straightened out instead of having the "lump" at the bottom. Rides like a dream...so far I love these tires!

General Grabber AT2 Tire Pressure

Put some AT2s on my WJ the other day. I put them at the 33psi recommended on the door but they look low to me. According to the General Tire website it says for 225/75R16 it's max pressure is...

Re: Chassis Lube. Seals bad??

I'll pick up some brand-name stuff next time I'm at the auto parts store.
Thanks on the wheels.
My wife told me, "no more black after this, you're obsessed with black! We don't need another...

Re: Chassis Lube. Seals bad??

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
I used Mystik JT-6 Multi-Purpose No. 2 Grease from Walmart because that is all I had. I'm sure it's not the best but I figured it's better than nothing. Is the...

Chassis Lube. Seals bad??

I'll admit it, I have neglected to lubricate the chassis for a long time. I always forget about it when I have the front wheels off. Well, I took them off to plastidip them yesterday and I finally...

Re: yes or no?

I was actually just thinking about plastidipping mine today. I was going to leave a gap in the middle between the ridges. They make a "glossifier" for the plastidip to make it glossy if that helps...

Re: An Introductory Guide To Upgrading Your WJ's Interior Lighting to LED

Once you get to the panel you just take a pliers and twist the plastic connector out and twist a new one in.

Make sure you plug it in and check that the lights are all in correctly before you put...

Re: Anyone know the PN/Name of this part?

May be a dumb question...but would a wrap or two with electrical tape around the plastic be alright for my piece of mind or does it get too hot there?

Re: An Introductory Guide To Upgrading Your WJ's Interior Lighting to LED

Thanks. I'm very happy with the $17 and 30 minute mod! Here is a better picture. In the picture you can see the "soft spots" where the LEDs shine through the dash. It isn't noticeable in...

Re: Anyone know the PN/Name of this part?

I'll let you know if the dealership can figure it out. I'm not convinced about my connector staying tight... it slides off fairly easy. Then again, it's been 5 days and it's still on! :D

Re: An Introductory Guide To Upgrading Your WJ's Interior Lighting to LED

I reread you post about being impatient. Based on what the twist connections look like on the gauge circuit board, I would say no, those are not correct. I would go with v-leds or superbrightleds...

Re: An Introductory Guide To Upgrading Your WJ's Interior Lighting to LED

These are what I used to do my gauges: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2F74_t15.htm

My 2003 WJ took 5 lights in the dash and 4 in the...

Re: Anyone know the PN/Name of this part?

You nailed it CheapJeep. I used a little too much muscle on that red tab and it went flying. What would you call it? TPS Wire Connection?

The goof at the dealership parts desk will just stare...

Anyone know the PN/Name of this part?

While I was taking my TB off my 4.0 WJ this past weekend I was removing the cable clips from the sensors and I broke the plastic retainer on the one the arrow is pointing to. I have been searching...

Re: How many are too many? Missing bolts from oil pan...

That is what I have been thinking as well. Anyone know what a machinist might charge to do work like this? I don't want to go into this blind and pay way more than I should.

Or...has anyone used...

Re: upgrading dash lights. anybody use a kit? help!!!!!

I did my dash lights with blue LEDs. They are 74-series lights. All you need to do is order the LEDs and take the dash apart (4 screws) after prying the plastic above the steering wheel off.

I...

Re: Oil Pan Replace

You don't have to drop the tranny to get to the rear main seal. If you have a two-piece RM seal you only have to drop the oil pan to access it. Here is a pretty good write up...
