Re: Show us your rack configuration/accessories!

The kennel I have is large enough that it needs to be disassembled in order to be put in or removed.

I'm looking at some others that are more or less permanent.

Re: Show us your rack configuration/accessories!

Nice setup guys. The reason I'm asking is I'm considering putting a dog kennel in the back that would bring the storage capacity in the back to zero.

My thought is to get a rack and store the...

Show us your rack configuration/accessories!

If you have a rack, how do you have it configured/what accessories do you have?

For example, tool boxes, tire mounts, etc.

Pictures appreciated.

Thanks,

Was wondering if anyone has any nice solutions for a dog crate in their WK2. Specific mfg/models and pictures appreciated.

My dog is 80lbs, FWIW.

These look interesting, for example:

2015 WK2 Summit Poor damping

I ran S02 PP and then S03 PP and liked them a lot. The Dueler Revo AT2 uses the same duel compound rubber and it's all I have run on our SUVs for many, many years.

Tires rubbing after spacers??

You run at speed to make sure no vibrations? If one lug wasn't trimmed enough the wheel could be a tad crooked. I'd suspect that would cause a vibration at speed.

Other than that, I'm guessing...

Re: Tires rubbing after spacers??

Nitto says those are slightly less than 32" and slightly wider than 11". That combo with 1.25" spacers is pretty common, so I'm a bit surprised they rub. Are these stock or aftermarket wheels?

Re: 305-50-20...will it fit on SRT Goliath rim 20x9

When considering if it will fit on a given wheel, the authoritative answer will be the mfg's specs for that specific tire. They will give the range that the tire can safely be mounted on.

305-50-20...will it fit on SRT Goliath rim 20x9

Um, specs for a 305/50r20 General Grabber AT2 show it to be 32"x 12.4" and fit on rims from 8.5" - 11" wide.

I have no idea if this will fit well based on the proposed wheels, but lots of us are...

Optimally, you'd run chains front and rear. That said, check the clearance of the control arm in the front.

I purchased spacers so I'd have more space between the control arm and tire/chains...

Re: Best snow driving techniques and modes

FWIW, you could have gotten another ELSD if you had opted for QD over QT. In that case you would have had a diff mid and rear and only the front would be open.

Best 20" tires for street use?

I'll vouch for the Continental DWS. Best all season I've encountered. I think the max size is still a bit smaller than the stock tires, but if you are OK with that, they are great tires.

The Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT2 that I went with has two options around 32" for a 20" wheel. Basically same overall size as mine but in a 20" wheel.

I think consensus is 32" is about as high as you can go. The specs on mine say 32.1".

The reason you want something with "mechanical" feedback is so you can operate it without taking eyes off the road.
