Re: 03 JGC Interior lights flickering draining battery

Since you mentioned that the flickering accompanies the noise in the back, it most probably is caused by the wiper motor.
You will have to remove the trim panel to get access to the wiper motor. On...

Re: Brake system question

The WJ uses electronic brake distribution to control the pressure to the rear wheels, like previously the proportioning valve did. It uses the ABS system to control the pressure and by doing this,...

Re: 03 JGC Interior lights flickering draining battery

You should disconnect the wiper motor connector and put the fuse back in place and see if the flickering stops.

Re: 03 JGC Interior lights flickering draining battery

So did you remove fuse 8 from the junction block? At least this fuse is used for the overhead lights and the flipper glas solenoid. But also for the rear wiper motor. I would disconnect the rear...

Re: 03 JGC Interior lights flickering draining battery

Did you try to pinpoint where the noise exactly comes from? Does the liftgate lock/unlock normally? Im in the bus now, but can have a look into the wiring schematic to see what the fuse is feeding...

Re: Starting issues

If your battery is good, then most of the time the problem is the starter solenoid. The internal contacts get a too high of a resistance due to burning, and it wont let enough current pass by to...

Re: mis-fire codes but does not mis-fire

Welcome to the garage.
This seems to be a fuel supply problem. Did the stealer check the fuel pressure at the moment that the problem is there? I wouldn't believe for now that a new TPS will solve...

Re: 03 JGC Interior lights flickering draining battery

Welcome to the garage.
Never heard of a similar problem. Does the noise change when you lock or unlock the doors? (Just to see if the liftgate power lock motor can have anything to do with it).
The...

Re: help asap!!!

You already bought the sensor, otherwise i would say have a look at rockauto.com. They sell the pressure switch for a two pin connector with only one pin used.

Was the compressor replaced? Because the fan clutch and freon charge was done when you first posted and still had the problem.

Is it the compressor which goes on and off? Does it do this rapidly or does it take at least 10 seconds that it switches?

Re: help asap!!!

If you have a one wire plug, then you already have a low pressure switch an not a pressure sending unit. The pressure sending unit uses 3 wires, from which one is a 5V supply.

Re: Technical Difficulties

Welcome to the garage.
Iīm not sure if the fuel level indicator signal comes from the PCM (as is on the WJ), but if it does, then it looks as an internally shorted crank sensor. Disconnect this...

Re: 2002 grand cherokee misfire and die

If you have an android phone, you could buy a cheap bluetooth dongle and get the free Torque app. With this app you can read and clear fault codes, but also see many live data.

Re: 2002 grand cherokee misfire and die

Re: Interior Electric Door Panel Issues

The wires in the door boot are just too rigid and after flexing many times (door open/close), they tend to break. This is for the WJ, donīt know how it is for the WK though.

Re: 06 4.7 Ticking on start up [Video]

Did you open the hood to see if you can discover from which part of the engine the noise comes? A mechanics stethoscope would help in pinpointing the source.

Re: transmission shift solenoid

Donīt think so. By changing the solenoid pack, there will be no change in volume of fluid going to the clutches (the CVIīs), so a calibration should not be necessary.

O2 sensor upstream is just the before cat O2 sensor. If the fuse was not blowing before the O2 sensor change, I would start measuring the O2 sensor heater resistances.

Re: WJ 1999 4.7 codes P0130, P0136, P1491, P0731 Please help

TPS at 1.9% is not normal, at least on my jeep it sits around the 12%. Could be that the crank sensor is pulling down the 5V for the sensor feed. You could measure the voltage at the TPS, or just...
