2014/2015 V6 transmission issue

V6 owners, help me out here. I recently picked up a 2015 V6 Overland and noticed that I get a harsh shift (actually, a bit of a bang/clunk) only under the following conditions:

At slow speeds...

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee more reliable?

Take this for what it's worth, but I purchased a 2015 last Friday and most of the stuff I read about in the forums is absent on my vehicle. The only real problem I've encountered so far is a harsh...

Re: New Flash 845RE Transmission Quick Learn

Because the vehicle only has 120 miles on it. I have no idea how long it takes for the adaptive "learning" to take place in the first place, so I'm wondering if the dealer will tell me that I should...

Re: New Flash 845RE Transmission Quick Learn

Guys, I just got my 2015 Overland (V6 4WD) last Friday and I noticed on the first day that the transmission shifts quite hard (with a bang) when driving at slow speeds, such as in a parking lot. The...

Re: Dealership VIP program - 1% below invoice

I got my 2015 Overland (V6 4wd and no options) for $44,000 before taxes/tags with no special programs/discounts/rebates etc.... Did I get a good deal? I never bothered to look up the invoice prices,...

Re: Brand new 2015 Overland--already aggravated!!

Tell me more about this TCM relearn. What exactly do they do? How does it work? I drove around a parking lot today at low speed and can now make the transmission bang into 2nd gear at will. It just...

Re: LED DRLs - can we stop the "winking"

That's silly. LEDs use VERY little energy in the first place. And most new cars are using LEDs for their DRLs.

On my Audi, it is possible to adjust the brightness of the LEDs anywhere between...

Re: 2015 Overland - dash bezel colour?

I have black interior on my 2015 Overland and the trim is definitely not silver. More of a really light copper color. But I really like it...looks so much better than the silver trim in my opinion. I...

Re: Grand Cherokee is a winner....and Cherokee is too!

Yeah, the '14 4Runner is ugly. The entire 5th generation 4Runners (started in 2010) are all ugly. That's the reason I moved to the Grand Cherokee. Quite honestly, if they didn't make the new 4Runners...

Re: LED DRLs - can we stop the "winking"

In Europe, LED DRLs don't go out when the turn signal is on. And guess what? People see the turn signals just fine. We can thank out stupid NHTSA rules and regulations for forcing manufacturers to...

Brand new 2015 Overland--already aggravated!!

So today was my first day with my brand new 2015 Overland V6. I have some minor annoyances, some of which I'll call issues and others not so much. Anyway, here goes:

1. The transmission feels...

Re: LED DRLs - can we stop the "winking"

I believe the reason is because at night, with the headlights on, the LEDs are at a reduced brightness, making the turn signal more visible.

Still though, the LED DRLs on my Audi are FAR brighter...

Re: LED DRLs - can we stop the "winking"

Same here. First time I saw it on an Audi I also thought it was broken. But if you look around, almost all cars with LED DRLs turn them off on the side with the directional signal flashing. So it's...

Re: Winter's Coming - Let's talk snow tires

Re: Grand Cherokee is a winner....and Cherokee is too!

Re: Grand Cherokee is a winner....and Cherokee is too!

Actually, they are affected more than naturally aspirated engines. The reason they have intercoolers is because compressing the intake charge makes it VERY hot and it has to be cooled down to avoid...
