Re: 2013 5.7L V8 GC TrailHawk and my Dyno run.

WOW. You seriously gained close to 50ft/lb of torque from just a CAI?

That is very impressive!

Re: Towing MPG's

As long as I make a more conscious effort to fill up diesel in the suburbs (where I spend a lot of time) vs the city, the gas prices are pretty much a wash. Diesel in the burbs costs the same as 87...

Re: Towing MPG's

The boat is 3k, but when you throw in a few passengers and a bunch of gear, you're probably pushing 4k if not more. I don't think the v6 would have enough power to keep me happy which is why my last...

Re: Towing MPG's

Long story short, we were the victim in a car accident a few months ago and don't want to keep the car anymore. The drivers insurance paid for the repairs of course, but I just don't want a 1yr old...

Re: Towing MPG's

Thanks for the response. I would say I get 10-12mpg around 70-75mph. It is definitely aerodynamic. If I can get close to 20mpg towing I would be very happy.

Towing MPG's

Looking at upgrading to a 2014 overland diesel. I currently have a '13 overland HEMI, but the gas mileage while towing is pretty brutal. I tow a 21' fish/ski style boat that weighs around 3,000lbs...

115v power adapter enough?

Hey guys,

Got a 2013 jeep grand cherokee with the power outlet on the back of the center console.

I'm looking at a wet/dry vac that says it uses 10amps and 120v of power. Will my power outlet...

iOS 6.1 + USB

So, some good news. Apple FINALLY removed the "Accessory Connected" screen in the music app when it's connected via USB. While connected, you can now browse the music right on your iPhone, instead...

Here's what I tow with mine. Couldn't be happier of how the Jeep tows the boat, and of course how nice they look together. :)

Re: Rear trunk chrome piece

You could get this:

I've thought about doing this myself on my black '13 overland. ...

Re: 730n not loud enough?

So, I did some testing on this over the weekend. Playing music directly off the HDD is LOUD, and like it's supposed to be. Same with FM radio.

Playing music from the iPhone or Sirius is where...

Re: 730n not loud enough?

I guess I've noticed it mostly in Sirius and the iPhone. I never have any FM radio I want to turn up loud enough to test! :)

Maybe it's just some of the sources that have low volume..

730n not loud enough?

The sound system in my '13 overland sounds great and I absolutely love the car so far. However, the sound system volume level doesn't go loud enough. When I have my windows down, I have to have the...

Re: iPhone 5 via USB = no music

Also, it's been confirmed. I turned off iTunes match and was able to browse music and play normally on the 730n when the iPhone is connected via USB. Seems like it would be a simple bug to fix on...

Re: iPhone 5 via USB = no music

I've tried both. You mean a jumper cable to connect the usb port in the armrest up to the back of the 730? If so, it must already be there. My 730 detects my iphone when I plug it in to the port...

Re: iPhone 5 via USB = no music

Yep, I think it is because I'm using iTunes match with my iPhone 5. Even though iOS downloads the music as you listen to it, the playlists still show up empty. There is a lot of music on my phone...

Oh, I definitely don't plan on replacing the iPhone, I understand what's happening. The bug that the manufacturer needs to fix is the usb browsing on the unit with an iPhone 5 that uses iTunes...

Re: Break-in MPG?

That's surprisingly good. 2,000 miles in, I'm still averaging about 18.0mpg on the highway at 70mph and like 9 or 10 in city driving, but I live in Chicago and it's a lot of stop and go in the city....

Re: iPhone 5 via USB = no music

Ah, that would be because I'm plugged into the USB ports going to the 730n. The iPhone goes into external accessory controlled mode and keeps you from being able to control music from the iPhone....

How are you able to send via bluetooth while charging? Don't you get the "Accessory connected" message when you go to the music app on your iphone?

thanks for the reply.

Re: Break-in MPG?

If the average consumer goes to the gas station to air tires, isn't it typical to always fill up your tires up slightly below max psi? Tires generally don't say what the "recommended" pressure is on...

Re: Break-in MPG?

You ain't kiddin about the tire pressure. I went out and saw all 4 tires were at 33psi. I have the 20" rims, the max psi is 51! That's how it came from the dealer..Filled up all four tires to...

Re: Break-in MPG?

The thing that boggles my mind is that my 2008 4.7 was advertised at 19mpg highway. My 2013 5.7 was advertised at 20mpg, yet the highway mileage is worse? That's a bummer.

I love my new jeep,...

Break-in MPG?

Hey everyone,

This is now my 3rd JGC. Started with a 2000, then a 2008, now in a 2013 black overland with saddle. LOVE it so far.

My only issue, 900 miles later is I'm getting terrible MPG's. ...
