Re: Getting tired of my 1st to 2nd gear clunk when coasting

A ton of miles indeed. I have a solid 60 mile round trip commute each day for work. Taking delivery at the beginning of October, commuting to/from work has added about 7,000 miles alone! I'm happy...

Re: Getting tired of my 1st to 2nd gear clunk when coasting

I'm quite familiar with the 'clunk'. Had it from the beginning. I just hit 12,000 miles and am pleased to say I haven't heard the clunk for quite a while. Other than an oil change, tire rotation,...

Re: 2014 Durango AWD V-6 snow report

Thanks John. I did not try turning off the traction control. The thought never even crossed my mind but I will be sure to give that a shot next time.

Re: 2014 Durango AWD V-6 snow report

I'm glad they were only calling for 1-2"!

I was cautious at times but took the opportunity to experiment a little when safe to do so. Mostly braking and turning experiments. I think our area...

Re: 2014 Durango AWD V-6 snow report

Thank you. I'm done with Rain-X. It just doesn't last and works best at higher speeds. I consider it a single use treatment and resorted to applying it just before heavy rains were forecast. ...

Re: 2014 Durango AWD V-6 snow report

Ok. That's encouraging in many ways.

Correct on all accounts. I can see how they'd be disliked in the snow!

I have old Rain-X on right now. It's pretty much worn off. I'm switching to...

Re: Post 2014 Durango Accessories Here!

I can't confirm the part number but they look like what the dealer installed for me. My price was free but that was through Century Dodge, who have been no less than awesome.

2014 Durango AWD V-6 snow report

Well, my area in Maryland got about 9" of snow yesterday. I spent hours out in the worst of it (yet didn't cover that many miles -- people can't drive in Maryland!) Lots of 10MPH drivers with...

Re: Just got my first dozen dings

You guys are the best! Thank you all for the support! It could always be worse. I very nearly had a deer as a hood ornament a couple of nights ago. The Durango brakes are pretty good!

Re: Just got my first dozen dings

Possibly. Century Dodge has been very good to me and that's certainly an option. At the very least, I'll probably check with them for recommendations.

Thanks for the support... and for allowing me to vent. I know dings can and will innocently happen in time. This just doesn't fall in that category though.

Yeah, the sheriff's office said that typically, if they had an officer in the area, they would try to track the truck down and would fine the driver for having an unsecured load. I'm not certain if...

Re: 2014 Durango towing

Wow, that's not a big load for the Durango but 18.2MPG average is a pretty good sign for that drive and pulling a trailer.

Very glad to hear they are happy with it!

Re: WeatherTech floor liners - they need more requests

This might be the best option for now but I think I'm going to hold off a bit. I really don't like the squared off corners near the tailgate that doesn't match the shape of the compartment.

They look great on there. They wouldn't work for me but they sure make your D very unique! Love the lack of a front license plate as well.
