Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

What did the UC springs cost you? If I had to do it over, I would probably just go UC plus a BB. The springs I got are too stiff, although they have softened some since install.

Re: Coil spring isolators

I replaced them when I put my lift on. I figured it was a good thing to do while I had it apart. They weren't all that bad to tell you the truth but I did it anyway. I got them all from Rock Auto for...

Or just get a BB. Scores of people have them and have zero issues.

Re: sway or wandering?

If you are going with UC springs then that may be the best solution. Your angles will not be outside of factory specs anyway.

Re: sway or wandering?

I did not do that at first. I did resort to trying that after awhile but I only loosened the front uppers and lowers. Afterward there was no difference. My front upper control arm bushings were...

Re: sway or wandering?

I decided to get longer rear sway bar links. With my lift I got 3.25 inches of lift in the rear. (supposed to be a 2.5" lift BTW). My rear sway bar was pointing pret'n near straight up. I got Zone...

I actually just saw it on Craigslist. Your ad is still up. I found it and came here to see if you were telling us you were selling it. Found out once I logged in that it was sold. BTW FWIW...I had a...

Re: sway or wandering?

Got the rear LCA's from Rockauto. Put them on tonight. What a bear it was getting them torqued. Why do I always work alone? A helper would make a world of difference. So I went with the OEM rears....

Yea well, they should work for a little while at least. They have a lifetime warranty.

It only has 39000 miles and the factory arms are shot. I have people bugging me to sell the Jeep all the...

Re: sway or wandering?

I decided to go with just the OEM type of LCA's for the rear. I just ordered Dorman arms for the rear from Rockauto. They were down to $25 a piece for some strange reason. Couldnt pass it up. A third...

Re: sway or wandering?

Yep! If you run stock wheels and no spacers it can be a problem. The bend is the way to go. Worth it! I refuse to run spacers.

Re: sway or wandering?

They look like well built parts. I think you may be alright. The only reason I think it at all is the width of tires you have. If I had to do it over again, or when I need new tires, I would go the...

I was running them at 38 because the guy that mounted them put them at that. It seemed too hard so I tried 33 and then 30. At 30 they ride smoother and have good contact per chalk test but they feel...

Re: lift

Just go with a BB from fatBob's or similar if you don't have money and time to dink around with your rig. Going any higher will amount to much more than you can imagine. You will retain the smooth...

Re: sway or wandering?

Your stock arms have a bend in them. The adjustables don't have a bend. Double check the clearance at full lock with the adjustables. They are going to be close but you may get away with it. I have...

Some shots. Install was a piece of cake, I'm used to adversity Haha. If my corroded bolts came out easy yours should too.

If you have a helper to rock the tire it is super simple. (I didn't)

Re: sway or wandering?

I took it out on the highway. At higher speeds it still wanders a bit, especially when going on and off the throttle. That is attributable to the rear LCA's and that stupid oval cutout bushing. Been...

Re: sway or wandering?

They cost me $150 plus shipping. I have been told that the rear OEM LCA's are a big source of wandering when you lift it. When you give it gas the axle will torque toward the front on the passenger...

Well I got 3" of lift out of it. Good thing the grab handle is there. Still, I hear a comment every time she gets in and every time she gets out. Good thing I only went with a 30" tire.

Thanks for the tips. I will be going with either the Ray/Dor bushings or just get the IRO arm when I end up doing mine.
