Reviving an old thread, but I just installed these. They didn't come with screws, and (as far as I can see) there aren't even screw holes on the housing. So they are only held in by the plastic...

I just got my Jeep back from the dealer tonight, my dad dropped it off this morning for oil/diff/tire rotation/"V6 engine Tune-up" whatever the hell that is (I told them is was idling rough)/program...

Yes, they worked before, during, and after I had the new switch in.

I did get them to work again, although it was very strange. I swapped the switches twice and disconnected the battery at least 4...

less that an inch to the inside of all the screws is a double layer of the hood :wtf: I bought it from the same d(st)ealership the previous owner did, never really been fond of them.

I dropped the spare and got under there with a wire wheel, PITA! :mad: I was only able to get some of the rust off of the inner passenger side frame. I don't know if a grinder would work better, or...

Is it good to just paint over the rust? I was thinking about taking a wire brush to it (maybe I'll splurge and get an angle grinder and a wire wheel) and then paint it.
