Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Right on Jeff...Finally somebody gets it.
Only Jeff and a few others know that ,"the emperor has no clothes on".

Re: 70,000 orders for Jeep Grand Cherokee

Duhwarren,et al ... I'm now tired of playing all of you like a fiddle, pulling your strings and making you dance like marionettes.

It's been nice!

Re: 70,000 orders for Jeep Grand Cherokee

Not if you are secure in your manhood...but then again I guess driving a Jeep can compensate for a lot of short comings.

Re: V6 vs HEMI noise level

Both numbers are poor compared to the competition. What bothers me more are the lazy 45mph to 65mph times. I think that the transmission gearing is the culprit. In the Motor Trend tests, the V6...

Re: Did Shudder TSB fix a problem?

When you purchase any product you don't trace it back to the myriad of suppliers if you have a problem. Chrysler warranties the vehicle not the hundreds of people who have manufactured it.

Re: Did Shudder TSB fix a problem?

Yea right...That's why there is already a problem with shudder and the dashboard covering separating from the plastic windshield vent ...and let's not mention that many options and colors were...

Re: 70,000 orders for Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Murano will accelerate faster from the stoplight, get significantly better MPG, cost at least 5K less, and still get through the western Montana snow.

Re: Did Shudder TSB fix a problem?

You actually believed that crap? This vehicle was rushed to market at least 6 months before it should have been. That's why there are so many equipment and option problems. Just wait until a myriad...

Re: 70,000 orders for Jeep Grand Cherokee

I'm cross shopping with the 4Runner, Pathfinder, Murano, EX35, Venza, Q5, XC60, X3, etc. All get better MPG and acceleration. Over 95% of GC owners never go off road. Why move around 5,000+ lbs?

Re: Another confusing order/buying/owning experience... (long)

Guys, I love the new GC just like the rest of you. However, between orgasms keep in mind the old sayings,"Buyer beware" and "A fool and his money are soon parted".

It is obvious from all of...

Re: Jeep arrive in Canada,my first test drive.

I live in Montana with most roads being two lanes requiring power to safely pass. Fact, less than 5% of GC owners take it seriously off road so why over build it at the expense of MPG and...

Re: Jeep arrive in Canada,my first test drive.

Trouble is, all those other SUVs will blow its doors off [even the HEMI with its embarrassing 7.5sec. 0-60].

Re: Test drove V-6 today - Not excited

Allow me to add my two cents. I too test drove the V-6 today right after test driving a 2010 4Runner and a 2010 VW toureag [both with V-6s]. The W2 is a better vehicle in all ways except for...

Re: Test drove V-6 today - Not excited

What's horrible is the antiquated 5-speed. I know that we're all fired up about the new W2 but I ,for one, am going to have some will power and wait for the 8-speed tranny next year. This, at least,...

Re: 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit Edition

Forget Summit Edition....getting the 8 speed tranny is so much more important to get these dogs moving . I for one am waiting for the 8 speed before I drop my 40+K.

Re: 2011 Engine Options

Maybe...but why then is MPG not any better than the competition? I own a '08 Magnum hemi AWD [340hp and 390 ft/lbs at 4250 lbs.]. A Ford SHO AWD[365hp, 350 ft/lbs., 4363 lbs.] smokes me big time...

Re: 2011 Engine Options

Starting to see some objective acceleration tests as well as Chrysler estimates of 0-60 times for both 3.6 engine [8.5 to 9.0 sec.] and hemi [7.5 to 8.0 sec.] These are extremely disapointing...
