Re: Stock 2015 Altitude Tires and Snow

There have been lots of threads about this. The general consensus is as chwoner mentions...the OEM tires are not the best for "real winter driving". While I had no issues with the Forteras in this...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Just the CREE LED replacement "bulbs" for some "color correction" for the fogs to 5K like my DRLs and projectors already are sitting at. DRLs were done about a month ago, but that was before I...

Re: Wk2 towing a 30 foot boat

Yea, that kind of weight really requires a WDH to tow safely, but you can't use them with surge/inertial braking systems. I bet that JGC was feeling really light in the front-end!

Re: V6 Overland/Summit 4x4 owners, how is towing/performance?

You will not likely notice that 2500 lbs is back there most of the time...just be sure you check on your vehicle laws whether or not you need brakes on the trailer. It varies with jurisdiction as to...

Re: Lifting kit on an air suspension.

There are already commercially available adjustment arms available to do minor height adjustments to a vehicle with QL for either "leveling" or adjusting the normal height stop point(s). I suspect...

Re: Wheel and tire combination

Because with the ORA options, they specifically replace the 20" wheels with 18" wheels for more rubber in the sidewalls which is preferred for off-road use. Many dealers will do a swap for you if you...

Re: Wheel and tire combination

Of course you can...20" rims and tires are standard on many of the trim levels that include QL. And the outside diameter of the tire remains the same, anyway, unless you choose to buy larger tires.

SlipAway, the particular vehicle in question is limited to 5K lbs because it does not have the factory towing option. OP already acknowledged that.

Re: Qudra lift air suspension...?

Sounds like a plan...congrats on your JGC order! The great thing about a factory order is that you can build it like you want it to be...within the available options and packages, that is. :)

Re: Factory order - parts swap possible?

No, you cannot do that kind of thing with a factory order. You can make those changes aftermarket, however, once you have your vehicle in-hand.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Since MY15 has been out for months now, just opt for a '15 if they don't have a '14 on the lot. (unlikely they do given the volume business they do at Koons) And the MY15 has some added goodies.

Re: Dealer/Aquisition-Fee on a Chrysler Affiliate Purchase?

Lease fees from a lender are not a dealer fee, as you've surmised. They do need to be accounted for relative to figuring out the true cost of the lease, however!
