I was thinking since both transmission were model 42RE that they were interchangeable across years and models (Similar to the Wrangler AX-15). Plus price is right from Craig's List with a torque...

I'm helping a friend out with her 2000 Grand Cherokee V6. Question: I found a 1996 42RE transmission on CraigsList and wanted to know if the 1996 will bolt up to the 2000 model without any issues...
