Re: New '16 shifter - fit in a '14?

You have to put your hand on it to shift. You reach over and move the shifter all the way forward and you are in park. Your muscle memory tells you that you have done it correctly.

Michelin Defender LTX M/S vs Nokian WRG3 SUV

I also live in Seattle and went with Bridgestone Revo ATs. I like the dual compound rubber for good wet performance and have had good luck with them in the snow.

FWIW, I purchased there and while the purchase went fine, I've been underwhelmed with the service department.

I did similar to you. I riveted the plate to the holder and also put rubber bumpers on so it wouldn't rub.

I'm getting the impression "information" about the nav updates from HERE, regardless of source (web site, Facebook, customer service chat/phone) is about as credible as a magic 8 ball.

Assuming there are "issues", I wonder if the issue might be the time-out during the update.

I wonder what happens if things shut down in the middle of the update.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Map Update

Optimally, you'd cache the Internet maps so basically when you drive somewhere you are effectively updating that part of the map.

Does anyone has a source for some sort of cleat/eye that is compatible with the WK2 roof tracks?

Basically, something that just provides a tie-down point.

Anyone have any ideas about how to get it up in an emergency? I can just imagine having the suspension bottomed out like that in the middle of nowhere.
