Re: Replaced my 2014 Overland Dash Speaker

I have an extra Infinity 3002 and harness, if anyone is interested. Is $40 (including priority shipping) fair?

Re: Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus or Michelin Defender LTX M/S

I went with the Pirelli Scorpion Verde Plus tires and I'm happy with them so far. Considered the Alenzas but read too many stories about defects.

Re: Alpine Speakers to Infinity Kappas - Minimalistic Upgrade?

I am running all the music off of bluetooth via various smartphone music apps (Google Play, Amazon Prime and YouTube, mostly).

I suppose I can reflash it myself.

Re: Alpine Speakers to Infinity Kappas - Minimalistic Upgrade?

Sub install I did myself and I lined the inside of the sub enclosure with Dynamat (it was like $18 off of Amazon). Here's what it looks like with the Dynamat in: http://imgur.com/pK9Jdt5

Re: Alpine Speakers to Infinity Kappas - Minimalistic Upgrade?

I figured based on what I liked/didn't like with the system that I may not think that was a worthwhile upgrade. I was right - I don't feel a pressing need to touch them. Plus, they don't have a...

Re: Best aftermarket speakers for 2014 Overland

After you put the covers back on it looks stock. But you can see some pics in my install thread, at least of the center/sub that I installed myself.

Re: Alpine Speakers to Infinity Kappas - Minimalistic Upgrade?

Several reasons.

1) Had the Infinity Gold system in my old ZJ and really liked it.

2) Everyone raves about the Harmon Kardon system, and of course HK is the parent co of Infinity. But HK...

Re: How to match Volume level difference between radio and bluetooth?

You have two volume controls for your phone:

1. the general phone/bluetooth volume (should be max)

2. the app volume (should also be max)

Some apps are still a bit quieter (YouTube in...

Re: Best aftermarket speakers for 2014 Overland

I upgraded door speakers in my 2013 Overland to Infinity Kappas (6x9s front door, 6.5" rear door), put in an Infinity Reference 3.5" for the center dash speaker, and put in a pioneer 8" shallow sub. ...

Re: Alpine Speakers to Infinity Kappas - Minimalistic Upgrade?

Before you put in the tweeters, you might want to upgrade the other speakers first and give it a listen. Even if the 6x9s get cutoff (and I'm still somewhat unsure), the rear 6.5"s definitely don't....

Re: Alpine Speakers to Infinity Kappas - Minimalistic Upgrade?

Great q. The 6x9s definitely don't get cut off at the bottom (running woofer test they hit the lowest notes) - still trying to figure out if they get crossed over to the tweeters at the top end. ...

Re: Looking at 2013 Overland

I'd put that in the "nitpicking" category. I could upgrade the HU generally, but I can't say this really bothers me. No HU's that I'm aware of will natively run Waze, so regardless I'm stuck using...

Re: Looking at 2013 Overland

Re: The Harman Kardon Rocks

Ask them if they could add sound dampening material to the setup. That's what I did with my aftermarket speaker upgrade and it helped dramatically with door/molding rattling.

Re: Potential JGC Buyer.. Are they really that bad?

Fair, but I've been to several dealerships with terrible service in the Northeast. Yes, I'm sure the best Jeep dealerships are fine, but based on what I've seen average dealerships are terrible.
