Re: iPhone 4S and Siri all work with BT!!

Thanks for the reply. That sucks. :(

I wish the BT connection with the car would be just that - the BT connection only for phone calls. If I try to use Siri on the phone or voice text input, the...

Re: When to Rotate Tires

Correction: I do wheel balancing, tire rotations, AND 4-wheel alignments every time I change the oil. Firestone service centers have a deal: $150 for lifetime alignments (at least in my area)...

Re: Got Fronts tinted to match!

Looks great!

I wonder what 35% would look like. Since the backs are already tinted, they will help make 35% look a bit darker, but I'm not sure if it would match completely.

I've always done tire rotations AND wheel alignments every time I change my oil (5-7K miles).

Re: DRL question? How to keep them on when using the turn siganls?

Headlights don't turn off when signals are used, so why should DRLs?

I don't really care, but I think the above is a valid question.

Just out of curiosity, is the highway concrete grooved (http://www.jeepgarage.org/showthread.php?t=43705)?

Re: Chrome Removal

I'd recommend using 3M Spray Adhesive Remover. It specifically says that it works on car paint and I've had better luck with it than WD40 or Goo Gone. Just my $0.02.

Lightweight Wheels?

Does anyone know what the lightest weight wheels are that you can buy for a WK2? Looking to stick with 18" or upgrade to 20" - clearly I'm not looking for 13# racecar wheels, but I would love to save...

Ditto. I originally thought I wanted the Mineral Gray, but after seeing one of them with dust in the sun, it looked very brown and not satisfying. The Maximum Steel OTOH did a much better job at...

Re: What comes with the jack/spare tire area?

How necessary are these things? I've been jacking up my cars for the past 10+ years with my floor jack...

Re: what is eco icon?

Surprisingly, I get a kick out of seeing ECO. In general I'm a more tame driver with the Jeep. Must be the AT, lower HP, and inability to take corners at more than 2x their rated speed. But it can...

Re: Stock 18" Tires and Tramlining on Grooved Highways

For clarification, I'm not talking about truck grooves. And the grooves I am talking about run PARALLEL to the tire tread.

Maybe. But everything else I'm...

Re: Stock 18" Tires and Tramlining on Grooved Highways

I'm pretty sure it's actually a tread design issue. I've had one car with 225's all the way around that had the issue. My other car was a staggered 245+275 setup that sucked. As the tires wore, the...

Stock 18" Tires and Tramlining on Grooved Highways

Re: 2012 WK2 Prices Paid Master Thread

In Northern California, I'm looking at a Laredo X:
4x4
V8
Tow IV
430N Radio
MSRP: $40,205

Should I target $37,100 (not factoring in incentives)? I believe dealer cost is $36,596. Thanks!

Re: 2012 Altitude Edition

It's probably easiest and cheapest to actually get a Limited, then have a body shop paint all the chrome parts black. And then spring for some aftermarket wheels I guess.
