Re: sunroof or no sunroof???

When I was in the market for a car the only two things I really wanted were HID headlights and a sunroof. My old Jeep didn't have one and I came from a vehicle that had a sunroof. I missed it and I...

Re: Recall for the TIPM

The only thing that I experienced was the TIPM. I don't use the easy exit seats. Does sound like you need to go back to the dealer for the other problems.

Re: Recall for the TIPM

Well, my Jeep died again on the same on ramp. This is the second time it had happened after I filled the tank with gas and I reached the exact same area. It's a spot where I had traveled about 1 - 2...

Re: TIPM recall - long trips or not?

I personally would "risk" going since your vehicle hadn't even shown any symptoms. Your vehicle is probably fine. You'll know when you have the problem when your vehicle tries to start but doesn't...

Re: Recall for the TIPM

Oh geez. Really? Thank you for letting me know this. I'm starting to think, after reading your account, that maybe it might be better to wait until the recall fix comes out. My problem hasn't reared...

Re: Recall for the TIPM

Yeah, I'm a bit worried about driving on the freeway nowadays for fear that it'll just die. In fact, I've taken to driving in the right lane or next to it as much as possible. I really want to wait...

Recall for the TIPM

So my vehicle has started to have peculiar problems such as it would try to start by cranking a long time then stopping. The second try is usually successful. Once when I be going on an on-ramp and...

Re: It's a Jeep so go through puddles

I made sure it was pretty shallow. I wouldn't go through ones that look like it'll swallow a car. Yikes.

Re: Some more pics - fun in the sand...

Those are awesome. I wish I had places like that to take my Jeep. I'd love to try out its capabilities.

It's a Jeep so go through puddles

It's raining like crazy here in Northern California. Apparently there's a lot of areas with standing water. Cars were going around some "puddles" but for me, I decided that since I'm driving a Jeep...

Re: For 5.7L HEMI: what octane rating of gas do you use?

I use the recommended 89 octane. I have used regular without a problem, but I figured I'll just pay the extra and get the gas that the car required.

Mystery solved

I finally had a chance to search where the broken piece used to reside. I found it on the other side of the seat controls (see picture). I won't be able to glue it back together without taking the...

It's definitely not the clips on the battery cover. Here are pictures of it.

Re: Anyone know what this part is?

I felt the other side of the plastic guard that holds the electric controls for the seat and it's possible it may have come from there. Not sure though.

Re: Anyone know what this part is?

Thank you for your reply, Steve. I seriously have no idea where it goes. It's hard plastic and one side looks like it has guides and the other side looks like it fits into a socket or hole.

Anyone know what this part is?

I've taken my Jeep to the dealer a few times and every now and then I find pieces of parts they break off or don't put back, like clips. The last time they did the recall and today I found this one...

I think I ordered around the same time. It's frustrating to think that a recall item would take so long, but as was stated earlier, Chrysler sends out parts as the dealer gets the job done. So, if...

Re: Recall work - anyone get it done?

Just a follow-up. Finally got this recall done on Thursday along with the sun visor recall. I'm glad it's finally done. So it took a few months since I made an appointment to finally get it done.

Re: Qudra lift air suspension...?

Recall work - anyone get it done?

As many of you know there was a recall on Jeep vehicles for the brakes. I've gotten at least 3 or 4 notices in the mail to get the work done. I've called the dealer numerous times to get the work...

Re: How do you guys clean your "honey comb"?

What's funny about this was that I normally take it to the car wash down the block. They get it done within a reasonable amount of time (about 15 minutes or so). I decided to do it myself one day. I...

Re: How do you guys clean your "honey comb"?

After I go to the car wash I go home and get a rag and use my finger inside the rag and go into each hole. Cleans it right up and I'm happy because it's so shiny.
