Re: RHR - Voice Control & song names?

I've somehow accidentally made this work before on the RHR in my '11; I was trying to get it to switch to navigation, and it came up with "Play by playlist, by Genre, by song name, by artist". I...

Re: 730N RHR Navigation issues

I keep a USB stick in my glove box and back up my RHR's address book anytime I make any major changes, because it does have the tendency to lock up and then blow everything away... since it won't...

Re: Nav / Bluetooth / Address Sync?

No one has confirmed to me that ANY phone can get addresses into it... as far as I know, it's an RHR limitation, not an iPhone limitation.

(For what it's worth, iOS 5.0b4 doesn't do it, either)

Re: Fan noise behind 730 N?

Yep; it's a cooling fan (two, actually) built into the unit that exhausts into the dash that will stay on until it gets down around 120 degrees internally... :)

Fractured wheel - covered under warranty?

Anyone have any idea if a fractured wheel (rear passenger) on a three month old WK2 would be covered under warranty? I was driving down I-85 and heard a loud BANG... pulled over, and a chunk of...

Re: Overland sharp steering wheel plastic?

Yup. Those edges suck, and once you notice them, it's hard to keep your fingers from rubbing on them.

Re: Pentastar commercial

I didn't come close to 500 miles on a tank when driving from Atlanta to Dallas on I-20, ACC set to 70mph. I averaged around 430-440 per tank. Which is still a hell of a lot better than the 160...

Re: Japan Impact on Production?

Considering how much stuff they're probably going to 'fix' in the 2012 from the 2011, I'd be very inclined to wait until at LEAST November-December to buy one, just to make sure you don't get one of...

Re: I thought the 730N RHR has a 30GB Hard Drive???

It's highly compressed on the discs. I'm betting it's stored uncompressed (and additional indexes are created as it's installed) on the hard drive for fast access.

I doubt the OS is larger than a...

Re: I thought the 730N RHR has a 30GB Hard Drive???

I'm sure it's just a regular old 2.5" PATA notebook drive, since I don't think SATA drives were even made in 30GB sizes. :)

It does seem strange they went with 30GB when they could have put a...

Or... an external hard drive, using the handy power outlet in the rear console to power it (although the USB port does put out enough power for very small (2.5") portable hard drives). :)
