Re: Anybody using AMSOIL OIL

I have not used RP in the Jeep, but have in a previous vehicle. No complaints but I found it to be an average oil by the reports back from Blackstone.
My experience with AMSOIL is quite...

Re: DIY- 2011 Differential Service/ Fluid Change

For non- ELSD my choice would have been AMSOIL but they are correct in that the MOPAR part would be fine. You can run oil with a friction modifier in non limited slip axles. You can not run...

Re: Sun Visor Recall

Well, this is just super. I waited and waited then finally got it done (along with the fuel pump relay). Thinking it had been long enough to hear any negative repercussions, I puled the pin and had...

Re: DIY- 2011 Differential Service/ Fluid Change

Check your owners manual to be sure. I don't know off the top of my head, but suspect it is still 75w-85. If you go to DC-Moto.net and plug in your vehicle info you can get all the fluid spec.

Re: DIY- 2011 Differential Service/ Fluid Change

Glad to be of help!
FWIW, you can use the AMSOIL transmission fluid in the T case as well. While you are at it change the power steering fluid too. All the same stuff!
Edit- I am not sure about...

Re: 2011 Antifreeze top up (what type to use?)

HOAT coolant is somewhat special, yes. If you are just "topping up" the system then stick with the OEM stuff. Theoretically, any HOAT coolant can be mixed but there is no proof and a lot of rumor....

Re: TIPM Recall

That might be a separate problem. Maybe a coil pack? Best of my understanding the fuel pump is not variable volume so if it runs then fuel pressure should stay constant at all injectors.

The "sparkle" you mention, is it from the rear ELSD? If so, it's from the clutch packs. Nothing to worry about.
You mention the plug on the rear of the diff. Not sure what the change was in the...

If memory serves, the transmission service is due at 68k, but ONLY if used for taxi/ towing/ etc. They are just trying to make some money.

Re: LED in DRL- CANbus or not?

That's what I figured. Thanks for the confirmation. I wasn't 100% sure since some vehicles (my BMW) will shut a circuit down for high or low current draw. Even though it may not give you a message. ...

Question LED in DRL- CANbus or not?

Title pretty much says it all. The DRL don't blink or give an idiot light if they go out. Any reason to pay the extra money for them?

Interesting. Never noticed it. I don't move my heel though. It stays planted and I can go from brake to gas at will. Maybe my big feet.
