Re: What does snow mode do?

Use it when the road is snow covered. It adjusts shift points. Starts you out in 2nd gear. It's in the owners manual.

Re: Truck Bumping

Since it fell out, I assume then that you can replace just the glass and not the entire unit. WK2 has been out long enough that your local junk yard (I mean, "used parts dealer") can hook you up with...

Re: Cargo Liner?

Doubtful. The MOPAR cargo mat holds a lot of water as the depth is significant. Believe me ... I've hauled a lot of soaked bags of mulch over the past 5+ years, sometimes as many as 20 at one time.

Re: Quadra lift question

"Locking" does not lock the position. I believe all it does is disable the auto load leveling. It also depends on how your vehicle is lifted if it will come back on OR2. Mine never has been returned...

Re: Nokian Tires opinions

I do hear them on our Subaru, but the Grand Cherokee has much more soundproofing than a Subaru.

Re: Nokian Tires opinions

Let's just say that if Nokian made underwear, I'd wear it.
I feel they are quiet and the perfect tire for me. I have similar WR G2's on our 2012 Subaru. Member "1stJeepGC" drove my Jeep last month...

Re: Yet another tire thread: your viewpoints welcomed!

I'm sure "1stJeepGC" will respond. I just got off the phone with him and his Rottiva A/T's are still going strong at 50,000 or so miles.

Re: Bosch Icon Wiper

Just a reminder to put a folded towel on the spot on your windshield where wiper arm ends... just in case you drop the arm while changing the blade.

Memo to FCA:
Forget about trying to come up the latest tech and focus on basics like training your salepeople. I'll bet sales would increase markedly.

Re: Rattling Tonneu Cover?

I am impressed that you folks are able to remove your dip sticks, read the number and insert the replacement sticks yourselves because the TSB says it requires a level 8 technician at the dealership....

Re: New tires for softer ride?

What's your air pressure? I got tired of my dealer filling them to 40lbs cold at oil changes, so now I tell them not to touch the tires.

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

Probably will not keep vehicle beyond 60,000 miles so I use whatever oil comes down the hose from the tank in the ceiling of the dealer.

Re: Strange problem starting Jeep occasionally

Be sure you are stepping on the pedal BEFORE pushing the Start button. In my haste I have pushed the button a fraction of a second before depressing the pedal. No start!

Re: Airing Down: How Much?

I only mentioned it because I did put a rock through my sidewall while slowly coming down a mountain in VT several years ago.

Re: Airing Down: How Much?

For conditions you describe I would NOT air down, just drive slowly. Airing down in those conditions increases the risk of sidewall being cut by rocks and possibly tire bead coming off wheel. Airing...

Thinner tires are marginally better in snow, but you are splitting hairs in this case.

Re: Qudra lift air suspension...?

QL will auto-level the vehicle when off at the strangest times. It scared the crap out of me once when I was poking around in the garage 20 minutes after I turned the vehicle off.

Re: Michelin LTX MS 2 for Winter

I had them on my MY11 WK2. Great tires. Good on highway. Good in snow. Good for mild off-roading. Not good on hard packed snow or ice.
So far Nokian WR G3 SUV are checking all the boxes for me....
