^^I agree I would not either. The only thing I add to my motor oil is "Flush" when doing a change. Quality oils have all the correct additives they need, minus friction modifier for some rears.

Quality synthetic fluids through-out and proper tire pressures will help the mpg. Of course it depends on how heavy your right foot is as well.
