I think they repositioned the rail and re-tightened the screws. It lasted for a few weeks before it popped loose again, and a new part was ordered and installed after I brought it back to the dealer...

I had the same thing, but in the rear and just on one side.

After a repair attempt by the dealer, they replaced the entire roof rail assembly under warranty.

I'd call around the wrecking yards nationwide and see if you can get one cheap(er). It's not a visible part on the shiny side of the vehicle...who cares if it's new as long as it's complete?

I get about 8-11mpg in the city too. Seems about average if you don't do highway.

I also have a heavy right foot....and a big smile. Pretty sure they are connected.

I use a microfiber cloth and my hand for most of the wheel work....the small wand mentioned above fits in the small holes where my fat fingers do not.

I also use the lug-nut brush they sell for...

I did not re-use the stock tips, but it comes as a unit. I'm not going to split it up. I did need to re-use the stock clamps for the tips for the new exhaust, but the tips are still there.

Yes, the cut-outs are pre-installed. I'll be sure to hook them up on the bench and make sure they work properly before installation.

OK, just got the GTHaus exhaust today...it's so damn cool. I almost don't want to hide it under the Jeep. Love the black tips....I can fit my whole fist in there (and I have huge gorilla hands).

I pulled mine out when I installed my AFE intake. Takes about 30 seconds to do (pull the two retaining pins). Not sure on how much of a difference it made, but my IAT temps hover between 5-8...

I think they are basically identical as the 8HP70 with the 8HP90 having upgraded internals. Not sure if the stock computer would drive it though. I'm sure someone will figure it out soon enough now...

If I'm building the bottom end for my FI effort, it would be a 426 or 440 stroker. All premium parts of course. Lower the compression to 9.5 and run a bunch of boost...

My avg on my last tank was 9.9mpg. All city. Every stoplight is an opportunity when I drive.

I've seen as high as 19mpg hwy on a long trip in eco mode.

I'm waiting on a full autopsy on this one. Something as simple as a lose connection on the #1 injector could have melted the piston.

I will say....if I do boost, I'm building a new bottom end...
