Re: BREAKING NEWS - New uconnect update for MY13 & MY14

The upgrade wipes out the Equalizer settings... If you had changed it to reduce the bass prior to the upgrade then you have to set it up again. Whoever tuned the Alpine for the Grand Cherokee needs...

Re: BREAKING NEWS - New uconnect update for MY13 & MY14

Never thought about disabling Avast. I'll have to remember that trick. I ended up using my work computer which has IE10 and Norton.

Re: Hazy windshield when wipers in motion.

I tend to see haze inside the window more when it rains and when the sun is low. The haze that I get is exhaust contaminants from sitting in traffic behind other cars. It builds up over time. Warm...

Re: First Jeep Buying experience

Just make sure that when you are talking to the dealer that you clarify that you want the Mopar Vehicle Protection plan. Also, for maximum care it's actually called Lifetime Maximum Care.

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-20 Full Synthetic from Amazon.

I plan on keeping my Jeep for at least 10 years. Plus, with 8,500 to 10,000 mile oil changes, stop and go traffic, and the cold winters...

Re: BREAKING NEWS - New uconnect update for MY13 & MY14

Hey, it supposedly fixes track names... I noticed the track information didn't match the song from time to time when using my iPod. I wasn't sure if it was a problem with the iPod (i.e. corruption)...

Re: why no summits

I felt that the Limited was in the sweet spot of features and cost. The Overland had more upscale options but not much in the way of added capabilities or must haves.

The Summit really is...

Re: First Jeep Buying experience

I bought the Maxcare service contract.

I plan on keeping the Jeep for at least 10 years. There was a lot of new technology that Jeep put into the 2014 models with no track record. One major...

Re: Oil Change Intervals on the 3.6?

My first oil change was at 3500 miles. The factory oil has special additives to help break in the engine and the recommendation was to wait until 3000 miles before the first oil change.

I...

Re: Taillight solutions-just ordered mine.

My thought would be that Jeep may have made changes to the 2015 system to allow for LED direct replacement, or maybe just the 2015 SRT models. The 2014 models require load resistors as the system...

Prior to that, I take a sample and send it off to Blackstone Labs for analysis. It's pretty...
