Re: O2 Sensors and MPGs

I think the biggest contributor is the increased use of ethanol in the winter blends which generates less energy than "pure" gasoline.

Re: Passenger seat rattle

This has been a helpful thread. I've thought my rattle was from the sun roof passenger side, and nothing seemed to stop it. I'm going to see if perhaps it's the seat head rest.

Re: Dashboard Leather Bubble and Defroster Vent

There's no way I'd have them replace the dash if the repair works. The complexity of the dash replacement is such that additional new issues are bound to surface.

Re: Auto Highbeam

I had the same concern initially, but once I was out of a semi urban area and the associated ambient light, they worked fine. It's an option I didn't know I'd appreciate!

Re: Headliner Rattle.... Who Else is Experiencing

Mine (large panorama sunroof with no rear seat DVD) just started rattling above the passenger seat whenever I drive over rough road surfaces. It should be easy to ignore, I seem to be fixated on it...

Re: Maximum Steel Metallic Clearcoat

Maximum steel was my first choice but none available in inventory outfitted they way I wanted. Very sharp looking! But fortunatley no regrets with my true blue pearl.

Re: Remote Start Climate Control

I tested my '12 Overland and it too doesn't start cooling until I get into the car. Let us know what you hear from your dealer. (I thought mine did used to cool with auto-start but can't be certain)

Re: Saddle Interior owners

I personally like the slight color tone variation - demonstrates it's leather and not vinyl. There's a bit of it in my saddle leather and it is what I expected.

Re: Maximum Steel Metallic Clearcoat

For what it's worth, it was my first choice but the dealer couldn't find any configured the way I wanted, so I went with True Blue Pearl. Maximum Steel is an awesome color, expecially in the sun.

Re: moving parts sound behind my seat or inside my door

We had the same issue. Started at about 2000 miles and lasted a month. Has not returned but it was annoying. Just as you described, something rolling forward and back. I wish I knew the case in...

Re: Nice New Dent

Similar situation although the dent (it wasn't a ding) was along the door right at the crease.

We just picked up our Overland from the dealer who arranged a PDR visit, and I'm blown away at how...

Re: Worst Dealer Shop Experience Ever

Have you had any conversations with Chrysler yet?

It's hard to believe that a dealership could be that poorly managed. Is there a designated service advisor you deal with? or is it the...

Re: Normal or Quality Control Issue on Overland / Overland Summit???

I have the same issue and like you recognize that real wood will respond to humidity etc. Would I like it to fit perfectly? yes. But its certainly something I can live with. Now if I had paid $80k...

Re: I got my first door ding this weekend.

Similar situation here. Was your door ding on the crease above the chrome strip? Several years ago on a different vehicle, the dentless repair guy told me only flat surfaces dings could be...

Re: So I left my car running today for 4 hours.

It certainly lets the occupant know (i.e. the passenger when you the driver run into a store leaving the vehicle running) that the key has left the vehicle! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has...

speedometer accuracy / calibration?

Re: Share your Dealership Mishaps or Stories

No problems / issues with Brigham-Gill (Natick, MA). Service Advisors have been knowledgable and very responsive. Plus they're friendly so the experience overall is positive. (knocking on wood trim)

Re: Recirq mode shuts itself off

To dry your mats faster, I'd recommend not recirculating the humid air created by drying out the floor mats.

Some cars do shut off recirc after a time interval to prevent fogging of the windows...

I was referring to the WK2's. Variable oil change intervals based on useage have been common for ten years on european cars, and given the Daimler influence on the WK2 development, it wouldn't be...

Re: Oil change light

My understanding was the JGC oil change indicator is not a simplistic "# of elapsed miles", but rather based on an evaluation of several factors to provide a more realistic assessment. I would doubt...

Re: Sirius Travel Link on their RHR

I have found the Sirius traffic overlay too often wrong. Sitting in traffic on an interstate @ 10 mph for 20 minutes, and Sirius shows green status. Conversely, cruising along at 65+ in a 'yellow'...

Re: Anyone else with a MY2012 a bit dissapointed about the My2014 being available in

The big item on the enhancements list is the new tranny which will undoubtedly result in higher highway MPG -- especially if you cruise at "higher" speeds.

Re: Those with Overlands with saddle leather: What do you use to condition the leathe

Question uConnect changes 2011 => 2012?

On the 12, within the uConnect system, when...

Re: How much is still shared/common with the M-Class

I traded an 06 ML350 for a '12 Grand Cherokee, and thankfully we do not have the MB airmatic suspension. The light / wipers stalk is almost identical, and i'm sure there are other similar parts...
