Re: 2014: Removing Side View Mirror Covers

I purchased a set of the chrome covers off ebay and had my buddy that owns a body shop paint the covers. If prepped correctly, the paint will stick.

Re: Squeak/creak/rubbing sound coming from rear hatch glass latch area

I've been experencing the same issues, the glass for the hatch was loose to the hinges. I tightened down the 4 torx bolts that hold the hatch glass to the hinges. There's also a ton of slop in the...

Re: Sourcing color matched parts

I'm having a good paint guy paint the parts for me, disassemble and assembly both done by myself. Much cheaper than sourcing new parts for the mechanically inclined like myself.

Re: Sourcing color matched parts

Why not have your chrome parts painted? I purchased a 2nd rear brow and a set of mirror caps which are currently being painted. Probably much easier than buying whole mirrors and whatnot.

Re: Emergency Brake Light just comes on?

Did you ever go any further with this? I've towed my cargo trailer a few times in the last month and the light has came on for me. Never comes on when driving w/o towing. Weird.

The Powder Pro is out in Woodstock, he's worth the drive. Tim has done a bunch of suspension parts for myself and other friends for our other vehicles. He's going to do a set of black Overlands for...

I just put some 295/45's on my SRT Reps earlier this summer. Great tires so far!

Re: 20x10 wheels

Thanks! I've only driven about 30 or so miles, so it's hard to say. I'm willing to bet that my mileage will slightly decrease due to the extra rubber on the pavement.

Re: 20x10 wheels

I believe the offset is 50. They do stick out a hair farther than the stock 20's. Stock ride height with the load leveling shocks in the rear.

I just put some 20x10 reps with 295/45's on my 2011, no rubbing at all.

Re: weathertech or Husky

I've got weathertechs in our '11 GC and '12 Suburban. They're superb. Had them in my '99 GC and '01 Burban and they held up quite nicely with 200k on the clock for each vehicle. LOL.

Re: 2011 Jeep GC updates?

Downloaded the file to a clean jump drive, but the car will not recognize the file. The file is only 10mb, should it be larger or is there anything that needs to be done before updating the uconnect?
