You should never use a platinum plug in anything that didnt come with a platinum plug from the factory. The 4.0 loves cheap plugs. Champion is what came in them from the factory autolite works well...

Duralast gold pads work great and have a lifetime warranty. They swap them out as many times as you want as long as they are not metal on metal.

Yea anyone who does glass work knows glass doesnt bond to plastic so id hope you start from scratch lol. Internal bracing doesnt have to be pretty it's not seen. Whatever works for you though.
