Re: HID retrofit on the 70th

He speaks the truth. I personally was hooked after my first retrofit in a 2000 Celica with FX-R projectors. Also, I have seen the factory WK2 HID light, they're not what I was looking for, they...

Re: HID projectors headlamp retrofit - DIY (picture heavy)

Thanks, they are just little vacuum elbows, you can get them at the local auto parts. I put them there to help the headlamp breath and keep bugs and dust out. I have seen other OEM assemblies with a...

Re: HID projectors headlamp retrofit - DIY (picture heavy)

You're right, adding vents is not common, it could be a combination of both. I removed them to inspect and reseal them, since I was getting a little condensation inside plus I wasn't satisfied 100%...

Re: HID retrofit on the 70th

Our light DO have vents, they are the two gray square looking caps on both sides of the housing. I added another vent under the right one on this picture.

Re: HID retrofit on the 70th

Very nice. It was fun cutting that lens open, wasn't it?

I just took my headlamps back off a few days ago to reseal them, seal the bulb area, and add an extra breathing port at the bottom of...

Re: HID projectors headlamp retrofit - DIY (picture heavy)

Re: HID projectors headlamp retrofit - DIY (picture heavy)

I spent about $250 for everything. As for the aiming, it was the easiest retrofit I've ever done. The right light was dead on, and the left just adjusted it up a bit with the factory height...

Maybe someone can post a night shot to for us to...
