Re: MOFSTEEL's JGC Altitude OEM + Build thread

Great build and thread, MOFSTEEL. I followed the whole thing and took notes, mostly about tires and wheels, clearances and offsets. Also about the BlackVue Wi-Fi DR500GW-HD, Mopar Slush mats, 35%...

Re: Off-Roading across the Mojave on 20s

Nice. Thanks for sharing. I too like exploring trails in the comforts of my plush GC, even though it has 20s too. I'll want to check out Mojave Rd. some day.

The water hole is pretty full. I...

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

Back on post #21 upthread on 29 Jan 2015 I noted this.

I think my fuel log book has notes about the mpg I got with the 3.6L engine. I'll share here if I find that.

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

Ouch, if yours is replaced I can understand your feeling snake bit and not wanting another diesel, but try reconsidering that decision. Mine has not been trouble free but many CRD owners are very...

It has been over a year since the last post but I'm curious if others have experienced poor quality or poor customer service with Rocky Road Outfitters.

Yes I'm sure there are satisfied customers...

Subscribed. The Chief products look great, and I would be interested in a CA USA location, like Pinetar. I also subscribed to Chief's site.

Re: Help me pick an all-terrain tire

hayasa your criteria for tire use is pretty much what I'll be looking for too when my OEM tires wear out. They only have 19K on them now. I will need 20s.

We don't want to find out, do we. I know I don't! I had an '85 Vanagon Diesel that I ran dry once. Bleeding the line was a royal pain.

Re: Amazing Range

I love the range - that was one reason I wanted the CRD engine. To date the farthest I've gone in one stretch is from Las Vegas NV to home. Only 550 miles, easy-peasy.

One day I'll take a 4-day...

Re: Highest mileage 2014 that has never had a P20EE/SCR cat issue?

Keep the reports coming, folks!

I (would like to) believe that most JGCs have been free of the P20EE code. I expect that it's the nature of internet forums to elicit complaints from those with...

Hopefully so.

Yeah, I do have QT-II, not QD-II, am certain of it. It's good enough for my needs, but yeah that ELSD would be nice.

You know it!

Re: Fun on the sand dunes at Pismo Beach, & front skid plate thrashed

Re: Drive or transport new JGC Overland Diesel ???

Another vote here for doing the drive yourself. 1,100 miles can be done in two tankfuls, so about $170 in fuel costs.

It will be good bonding time between you and your rig.

Oh, and if you're a...

Re: WK2 Offroad

I would air down to 15psi. Not sure, with my /50 low profile street tires, that I'd go lower than that. Next time I hit the dunes I'll try 15psi.

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

I'm not sure what the difference is. Does anyone here know? Sometime I wonder if they just set the threshhold to larger tolerances so that the P20EE error doesn't trip so easily.

Yes but when...

Thanks guys, and yes, next time I will air down and go slower. I was nervous about going slow because the sand was so soft back in the dunes, I didn't want to get stuck.

Re: Any high mileage diesels out there? How many miles do you have?

Mine just turned 19,000 miles yesterday, on a 500 mile day trip. On the 200 mile highway trip home I got 32mpg doing 65mph. I love that.

Fun on the sand dunes at Pismo Beach, & front skid plate thrashed

The skies were...
