Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

Another issue you might not be aware of is that it is almost impossible to clear out the emissions readiness monitors on the EcoDiesel. I'm more than 6K miles after getting my SCR replaced and all...

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

Why did they do 18-018-14e? 18-023-15 supersedes it and has been out since 3/14/15.

Regens are done every 150-200 miles, not every 2000.

Re: 2014 GC Diesel will not pass emission test

This issue has been reported by a number of us. It doesn't seem to be a problem with hardware but rather a very difficult driving cycle that is literally impossible to complete successfully. I have...

Re: excess DEF consumption

The level sensor in the DEF tank is a very slow response ultrasonic transducer and is known to be inaccurate on initial readings. The initial 100% reading might have been inaccurate and once settled,...

Re: exhaust system regeneration process

Grandhaze, The Australian export CRD's are inherently different than the NA ones and have had some major issues with DPF regens. The NA ones seem not to suffer from these issues and have very few...

Re: New CAT Converter - Failed Emission's/State Inspection

Yes, it was. MA is an OBD emissions state. Any diesel manufactured after 2001 will be OBD tested. The state requires at most one readiness monitor to fail which is probably why you failed your test...

Re: Ecodiesel specific PID's?

You can use the "ON/OFF" display type for the DPF mode. It will give you a nice lighted button during regen.

Re: Method for adding fuel additives?

Re: First oil change some info and comments

It's always advisable to wait after you filled oil. Most engines fill oil from the top. The oil has to flow by gravity through the oil galleries to get to the oil pan all the way at the bottom of the...

Re: Method for adding fuel additives?

I'm not comfortable with that method. I prefer adding the additive just before a fill-up at the pump when the engine is off. Additives are supposed to be mixed at the right ratio. If I add it at home...

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

Why would they roll Rev-e back? Rev-e doesn't even fix anything related to SCR/NOX over Rev-d. The only items added in Rev-e is AC duty cycle and EGR cleanup routine.

Re: Sound dampening material in wheel well removal/replacement

Those are mostly plastic "pop" rivets. You must drill them to get them out. You can buy them for about $5 per rivet at the dealer (outrageous!) or get a box of 20 for $3 at harbor-freight...

Re: Incorrect DEF - See dealer

Yes. P20EE only lights MIL. In fact most dealers will ask you to NOT reset the DTC so that they can have a successful claim when they install the CAT. Only bad issues with it is that when you have an...

Not sure I understand your claim. Oil separators are part of the crankcase ventilation system so they can't be pre or post intake (they are not in the intake path). Our CRD has a centrifugal oil...

Re: First oil change some info and comments

Not sure what are you looking at to verify the part number, but according to mopar.com 68229402AA is the correct PN for oil filter for the EXF platform (EcoDiesel) and costs $60 there.

It usually isn't. The CAT is an expensive part, so there is none in stock at any dealership and Chrysler will not approve it unless it is verified to be the issue. It usually is a 3 visit procedure....

Re: MIL/CEL - Predictions?

If you had rev-D already, rev-E will not fix any P20EE's. Inter-revision changes are marked with "**" and those are the only ones changed from D to E. In this case the E one only adds AC duty cycle...
